Finesse

Steve,

Once again I have to be short. The bombings are more frequent, and more people keep coming in. You have no idea how much I needed to read your letter. I got it the same day one of my patients passed. It wasn't while I was working on him, or because of anything I did, and I know that. He'd lost too much blood, and we didn't have the right kind to replace it. Still, I can't get it out of my head most days. Your letter sure cheered me up, though, and I'll bet you saved me a fair amount of nightmares.

On a better note, I'm getting much better with Peggy's lessons even if there's not a whole lot of finesse to it. Honestly, the technique she uses is mostly just hitting things until they stay down, but she can do some pretty cool tricks, too. I'll teach you if I ever get the chance. I'll write again soon, as soon as I can. I promise. Give my love to papa and Bucky, tell them I miss them. I love you all so much.

All my love,

Elaine
