The next day brought more strenuous workouts, but they were thankfully cut short to allow the boys to reunite with any loved ones joining them. Brooks followed Steve as he looked for his girl, but Steve definitely spotted her first, calling out as the girl unloaded a truck with Agent Carter
"Elaine!" She spun around, and any doubt about the two left Brooks' mind as she grinned, running towards them and throwing her arms around Steve's neck as he held her close. They were both crying tears of relief as they held onto each other for dear life, and smiling as Steve kissed her right there. Jason Brooks grinned at the reunion, walking away to give them whatever privacy he could. He thought about his own girl back home, a girl named Angie Martinelli, hoping he would get his own reunion soon.
