As Mike was talking to chief Hopper through the supercomm I stood beside Lucas quietly. Will and Jonathan were arguing about Will leaving the house. Nancy was smothering Max with hugs. Mike sits down the supercomm and looks at us.
"Hopper is on his way with Will's mom. Apparently he was on a date with her." Mike says
"What! Gross!" Will yells
I laugh and so does Lucas.
"We all knew it was gonna happen sooner or later." Lucas says
Everyone agreed with that. A knock on the front door made everyone jump. We all ran upstairs as Joyce ran into the house followed by Hopper. Joyce tackles Will with a hug.
"Why do I always get hugged!" Will says and we all laugh.
It feels great to laugh again its been about 3 days since we've laughed. It seemed as if everything was gonna v okay from now on. Will is home, Max Is home and everyone is happy.
"Can you kids tell me what happened?" Hopper asks
We all told him about what's happened.
"We'll investigate we'll arrest those guys I promise." Hopper says and walks out the door.
"I think we should all get some rest. We should probably go back to our homes..." I say
"I don't have a home." Max says sadly playing with her short hair.
"Oh yea! Mom! Can Max live with us? She has nowhere to stay." Will asks his mother.
"Of course she can honey. She can have the spare bedroom or Jonathans room." Joyce says smiling
"Mike, can I stay here tonight?" Lucas asks
"Me too." I say
"Me too." Max and Will say together
"Yea of course, I don't wanna be alone." Mike says.
*That Night*
It was midnight none of us could sleep so we just sat there in Mike's room watching TV. A news report flickered on.
"We have some news on the missing child incident. The girl has been found by her fellow friends. She has no home now so she'll b staying with Joyce Byers. We have also arrested the man behind her disappearance." A picture of Doctor Brenner showed up on the screen.
It's over, no more brenner, no more danger.
