*TRICK'D' UP!*

*NINETEEN*

Criss Angel and his team of Magical Mindfreaks was in Kansas...and the first thing they all noticed was at how flat, hot, and dry it was...and the wind was worse there than it was sitting on the top of the Luxor Pyramid. There was, however, a lot more fans there that he never knew he had...and some of the Kansas girls were very cute...but their attitudes were ferocious...Criss tried to make good with one of them that he was really attracted to, but as soon as she saw he was a single father...she flipped her hand at his face and walked away...and said rich or not...she wasn't having anything to do with raising someone else's mistake.

Criss backed away from her...not believing how fucking cold anyone could be about a cute little boy...especially one as sweet natured as his son...Sully and Klayton told him not to sweat it...that there was a special someone out there for him...just waiting for him to make it to her...and one that loved Johnny almost as much as he did...Criss looked at them and lowered his head...and just went back inside the RV, and said not for him there wasn't...for she would have to be fucking nuttier than him...to ever want him...and would have to be almost a saint to want to love another woman's child...as there own. But Sully and Klayton both knew that Rachel was trying like hell to get her sister to step up and ask Criss to go out with her...just to knock him off his feet instead of the other way around...and they all knew already that Rachel's sister would love Johnny...just for the fact, that she couldn't have kids...due to the fact that she was in a terrible vehicle accident when she was 16...and they had to do emergency surgery on her...and when she woke up...she was told that all of her motherly innards were removed...due to hemorrhaging.

Rachel asked Klayton if maybe she should show Criss a picture of her sister first...just to see if he would even be interested in her or not...but Klayton told her not too...to let their first contact be just between them...and let Criss's nature take its course...for no one knew Criss better than Klayton and his older brothers when it came to girls...and Klayton knew that Criss would love Rachel's sister...just for the fact, that if Rachel hadn't of liked him at all...he would have definitely wanted to meet her sister...and Sully said the same thing...that Rachel's sister was hott!...then Klayton added...just not as hott as her...then he kissed her on the neck and gave her a slight love bite. Johnny came screaming and crying out from the back of the RV where he was playing under the shade tree with his dinosaurs...until he ran into his uncle Costa's arms and said bug bit him...Costa looked at the bite on his hand...and noticed it swelling up and turning bright red...he hollered for Criss from outside the RV...then took Johnny back to where he was playing and asked him where the bug was at...Johnny looked around his toys...then pointed to it...it was still crawling by his T-rex toy...Criss came out and scooped his son up and asked him what happened to his little man...Costa quickly killed it...then told Criss that Johnny was bitten by a spider...and it looked like a fiddleback.

Criss said keys very loudly...Costa tossed them to him without thinking and Criss rushed to Costa's car...and rushed his little man to the hospital in Topeka, Kansas. Klayton asked Costa what happened...the rest of the team came around as they all heard Costa tell them that Johnny was bitten by a spider...and was instantly sick...and in major pain. Rachel asked Costa to take her to where the spider was at...Costa showed her the remains of the spider...he thought it was a fiddleback spider...but Rachel told him that it wasn't...it was a male Black Widow spider...and that they weren't as poisonous as the females...but were still potentially dangerous to a toddler...or someone that was allergic to the venom.

Criss rushed his son into the emergency room, and told them that he became unresponsive on the way over here...and that he was bitten by a spider at the RV park where they were staying...just then Klayton called Criss and told him that it was a male Black Widow spider...Criss relayed it to the doctors then hung up with Klayton and said he'd keep him informed...the doctor quickly checked his vitals while asking Criss the mandatory questions about what his son was allergic too...and if he had any other conditions he should know about...Criss told him that Johnny had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia...but he was in total remission right now...and that he has been for 6 months now.

The doctor gave him the proper antivenom...then kept him under close watch...knowing that because of the Leukemia Johnny's immune system wouldn't be as strong as other 4-year-olds...Criss stayed right by his son's bed and held his little hand...and gently rubbed his fingers...as tears began to pour down his face...then he brushed the sweat from his little boys brow...and begged him not to leave him now...Criss fell asleep after sitting there for three hours while his son was sound asleep from the medications...until the nurse came in to check his vitals again...and to see how the bite on his hand was doing after the doctor cleaned it out...Criss woke up and asked her how he was doing...the nurse smiled at him and told him that his little boy was doing just fine...and the anti-venom was doing its job perfectly...and that it was just a good thing that he brought him in right after it happened...to where they could get it taken care of before it attacked his entire body.

Criss wiped the tears from his face and asked how long it would be until he could take his little man back to the RV with him...the nurse looked at him and said that it wouldn't be until tomorrow afternoon...when the doctor got back to check him over before signing his release...Criss asked if he could stay in the room with his son...she left the room and five minutes later she came in with a small cot, a pillow, and a white blanket...and set it up for him in the corner...and told him that was the best she could do...Criss stood up and said it was perfect...then before she left he thanked her...he went over to his son and kissed him goodnight on the forehead...then went over to the cot and crashed...then, after all, that's happened so far...he was beginning to wonder if it was worth it...putting his son in mindless danger just because he was having some kind of midlife crisis...now all Criss wanted to do was get his son back home to Serenity.
