'its been summer for about a 2 weeks now and i've been spending a lot of time with josh and i've been doing good
i've even started listening to some new music and going for bike rides. i got a new bike, it's vintage and from england it's the best thing i own.
we've also been going to the beach a lot, josh, frank, gerard and i. so that means i've been getting a lot of burns and since i keep a shirt on i constantly have a terrible farmers tan that is just a burn.
i'm at joshes right now and he's in the shower so i'm just awkwardly sitting in his room, bye'
i put down my pen and closed my journal. i stuffed it in my bag before anyone could see, i'm a little embarrassed about having a journal
we just came back from the beach and it was really fun. even brendon and pete came, it was going good till brendon started crying because the beach reminds him of ryan, something about a song he wrote about the sea and being too smart to talk to god
i feel terrible. i miss ryan but it's only a fraction of the hurting that brendon is still feeling
"hey ty wanna go for a bike ride after?"
"sure. we should go somewhere different this time, it's boring always going around the neighbourhood"

i love riding my bike but it's not made for going up any hills, other than that it's perfect
we rode down a hill and the wind was strong. ahead of me, josh put up his hands and screamed something
he quickly put his hands on the handles as he rode over the bumps on the bridge. it was a windy day and you could hear the waves below crashing into shore
i glanced up at the bridge name and felt a chill down my spine

i could still feel the cool breeze and distance calls of my name i thought was just in my head
i was forced back to reality when my bike clinked over the bumps of the bridge. since it's an old bike the chain guard clunks when i ride over things
frank teases saying it sounds like it will fall apart
i stop riding and i'm suddenly feeling low josh stops and asks what's wrong, i can't make out the words
