the dinner

"look who's back?" i yelled out loud holding onto the girls' tiny hands. they clung onto my hand tightly as we entered their large home.

"and better than ever" they said in reply to my first sentence and i had never been prouder. we walked down the hallway of the house, past the living room and into the kitchen. karen was setting up for dinner and carrying the bowls back and forth.

my feet were aching and we all sat on the chairs near the kitchen island first chance we got. "we are swamped mommy" avrey said her head landing on the counter. their mom stared at them and walked over to us and kissed both of them on the cheek.

"go on upstairs and change from your school uniform we are having dinner with the new neighbors tonight" she smiled "cam can you go help them please i know you have done alot—"

i smiled at her for once reassuringly "don't worry about it karen i gotchu" i said and her eyes widened
in suprise. i had never done anything nice for her especially not this much and not to that extent.

"hey we are having guests and i bought you a little something don't be afraid to try it on. . . if you want that is" she smiled at me. i pursed my lips and nodded then went back to hurrying the girls up stairs. i stuck them in the shower and helped them clean up and then sent the off to dry in their rooms.

as they did i took a quick shower since i was sweating from today. justin was something else but my sisters seemed to adore him. he was so cute with them and i had never seen such a side of him. where he was actually caring and nice and sweet.

i got out of the shower drying my hair and myself. it went back to it's normal curly state almost immediately. i went into the room and saw the huge white box laying on my bed. i slowly opened it and it revealed a red dress. i slipped it on and it was tight on my body hugging my curves.

i was never one to wear dresses and staring at myself in the mirror i looked like a completely different person. "cammy you look super pretty" i heard one of the twins say behind me. i turned around starin at them. they wore matching blue dresses that brought out their beautiful baby blue eyes.

"you really think so" i asked and they nodded. i slipped on my sneakers and extended my hand for both ellie and avrey to grip on.

we escalated down the stairs together "i'm home—" my father began but stopped in his tracks as he saw us "cameron?" he said in disbelief.

we all arrived down the stairs "well try not to look so shocked dad" i smirked smoothing out the dress.

"oh you look so beautiful cam" karen came out of their bedroom dressed. i thanked her and then went back to my father who was staring at me as if i was a stranger.

"you do you really do cameron" he said "i just i have never seen you in a dress or be here without complaining" he laughed slightly.

i scrunched up my nose "well these two goofs make it slightly bearable" i said staring at the twins.

we all went to sit down to dinner and karen had prepared quite a meal. the doorbell rang and karen went to the door and the family came out. the mother who seemed like a sue, a tween girl who looked very busy on her phone, the father who immediately went to great my father a bottle of bourbon in hand and their son.

"cam have you met chase?" karen smiled and cocked an eyebrow at me.

"hi."

"princess is it really you?"
