(Barry's POV)
I didn't think I'd wake up again. I thought I would've died from my wounds. I should be dead right now, but I'm not. The first thing I feel when I come to is the oxygen mask on my face. The second thing I feel is a warm hand in mine. The third and last thing is the pain from my wounds. My chest was hurting the worst of all. I open my eyes, and Iris is waiting for me. "Hey. Looks who's awake." She says. I want to speak, to kiss her, but my body is too numb. She runs her hands through my hair. "We won. Savitar is gone. He won't take away our happiness again." She says. "I...love you." I manage to say. "I love you too." She says. I take off the mask. "How bad was it?" I ask. Iris's eyes fill with pain and fear. "Pretty bad. You flat-lined once. Cisco did everything he could that he knew to do." She says. "I almost lost you." Iris sobs. "Hey. I'm right here." I hold her hand. "I'm never going to leave you," I say determinedly. "Hey, look whose awake!" Says a voice. Cisco walks into the room with Joe and Caitlin. "Thought we almost lost you there for a second," Cisco says. "You wish." I groan. They laugh.
Later, when everyone leaves, I finally get to ask Iris the one question I've been dying to ask. "How's the baby?" I ask. Iris's face brightens. "Caitlin checked the baby and me over. The baby is fine." She smiles. "Good." I smile. "She said the baby would be here in February and that I was a few weeks pregnant." She says. I nod. "I'm going to be a father." I test it. She nods. "We're going to be parents."
