After Mo sped off I made my way back inside the restaurant.

"Everything okay with Mo?" Rosetta asked smirking.

"Yea." I threw some cash on the table. "I'm ready to go."

"Why in a rush baby? We should celebrate."

"You stay and celebrate but I'm going home." I told her leaving. I knew this shit was gonna hurt Monica. She didn't even give me a chance to tell her what's going on.

When I got into my car I began to drive over to Mo's crib. I doubt she's even gonna want to talk to me.

Twenty minutes later I was on her doorstep ringing her doorbell.

"Who is it?" I heard her raspy voice from the other side.

"King." I said. She didn't say anything. "Mo open up."

"What do you want." I heard her say.

"Can I just talk to you. Please. You know I don't beg nobody for shit but I'm begging you. Let me in."

She sighed then I heard the locks turn. When she opened the door I could tell she had been crying.

"You got ten minutes." She said as I walked inside.

I took a seat on her couch while she took a seat on the other.

"I didn't want none of this shit to hurt you okay?"

"But it did King." She said with no emotion. "How you propose to her!"

"I basically had no choice Mo."

"No choice!?"

"She's black mailing me. If I didn't propose she was going to send me back to prison."

"That is the stupidest shit I have ever heard King."

"Yea it's stupid but it's true."

"Whatever that's bullshit if you ask me. She turned you soft King! And I can't believe you let her do it!"

She was right. "Mo trust me, I would murder her ass if I could. This situation just isn't easy to get out of."

"I've heard enough. Please leave."

"I'm really sorry Mo."

She pushed me out the door and locked it afterwards.

"I'm sorry." I said more to myself.

I stood against the door wiping my wet eyes. I was stupid to even let King back into my life. But you learn from your mistakes.

Monica

Miracle and I just left church and were on our way back home.

"Mama are you okay?" Miracle asked.

"Yea. Do I not look okay?"

"I was asking because I know how much you love daddy."

I sighed.

"He clearly loves you too, so I don't know why he proposed to Rose."

"He's stupid and naive."

"Are we going to the wedding?" She asked.

"Hellllll no!"

She laughed and I did as well. My phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered making a right turn at the light.
