The sound of the alarm interrupts Lexi's much needed sleep. She switches of the blaring sound, feeling like she has only slept for a few hours. Which Lewis is totally to blame for. Unfortunately, she still has to go to work today and she hopes Lewis will be too hung over to make an appearance as his face is about the last she wants to see today.
As she gets out of bed, her eyes catches the time displayed on her phone. Instantly, panic washes over her as she realizes she has overslept a lot. As quickly as she can, Lexi moves around her apartment to get ready for the day, silently cursing the snooze button on her alarm.
Without breakfast and barely feeling ready for the day, Lexi makes her way to work, hoping that nobody will really notice that she overslept.
"You're late," a familiar voice states, making Lexi turn around with an annoyed groan. Of course it's him.
"I know, I'm sorry. I didn't hear my alarm and I overslept," Lexi explains as she's trying to understand how Lewis is here right now and still looking amazingly, despite being very, very drunk last night.
"Clearly," Lewis says, not seeming very accepting of her apology.
"Just after last night and everything that happened, I was very tired and-"
"That doesn't matter, you're still late."
"But I helped-" Lexi tries again, but Lewis isn't having it.
"I don't care. You're late to work and I've been waiting for you," he says, making Lexi look at him in disbelief.
"You are the reason I'm late."
"I was here on time," Lewis shrugs, clearly not caring about anything Lexi is trying to tell him.
"After you fell asleep, I still had to drive home and only then I could go to sleep. I went to sleep way later than you did as we don't exactly live next door to each other."
"Still doesn't change the fact that you're late."
"You know what, forget it. You're unbelievable," Lexi says before walking to her office, leaving Lewis by himself in the hallway. She understands she's not supposed to be late, but she at least expected him to understand after she helped him last night. Apparently, it's too much to ask from him. Or he doesn't remember, which also wouldn't surprise her.
As Lexi is working away, she's interrupted by a knock on her door, making her look up to see Lewis. He seems to be hesitant to come into her office, which Lexi doesn't blame him for after this morning.
"Can I help you?" Lexi asks, focusing her eyes back on her screen as Lewis walks in.
"Yes, do I have anything scheduled in Russia?" he asks.
"I'm still working on it."
"And when are we flying?"
"On Wednesday. We'll be flying there together."
"Lexi?" Lewis says, making her look up from her screen.
"Yes Lewis?"
"I would suggest you change your attitude a bit as the way you're acting right now is not something that is appreciated around here," Lewis says, making Lexi's jaw drop slightly.
"Change my attitude?" she asks, standing up to look Lewis straight in the eye.
"Yes, that's what I said."
"You're kidding, right?"
"Does it look like I'm kidding?"
"No, that's the worst part," Lexi says as she sighs, making Lewis raise his eyebrow.
