Scared of the dark

Ethan sat in the dark talking to his boyfriend online when out of nowhere kristy coconed. Like a lightswitch, the two started freaking out for no reason. Ethan was level headed enough though to ask the 8 year old what was wrong but all she could manage was panicked whimpers.

"Do you want me to turn the light on?" the older one asked, having spend enough time with the young girls to have an idea of what was causing their distress. SHe nodded and he was already making a move to get up. He realized that while he was distracted the young girl had grabbed her favorite stuffed animal and they were now holding it.

Ethan stood up and turned the light switch and immediately he could feel kristy relax. They returned to their spot on the bed with their laptop and continued a nice night of talking and playing with their friends.
