THAT NIGHT, Willow, Buffy, and Lizzy sat next to the grave, talking, while Xander and Giles were digging. Willow asked Lizzy about Angel and the blonde began rambling, "I couldn't believe Angel. He was acting all overprotective and he wouldn't even admit it." Liz stated,

"Overprotective?" Willow questioned,

"I get it." Buffy stated, "He just wants you safe, Liz."

"I understand that!" She exclaimed before sighing, "But he thinks I can't protect myself. I may not be the slayer, but I can lay a few punches. I don't need a bodyguard every second of the night. He was being totally irrational."

"Love makes you do the wacky." Willow stated,

"That's the truth." Buffy rolled her eyes,

"I never said it was love. Attraction, yes. Do I like him? Of course I do." Lizzy said,

"Do you love him?" Willow questioned,

"No!" Lizzy shook her head, "I mean, I don't know. Maybe?"

Xander's head popped out of the grave, "Y'know, this might go a lot faster if you femmes actually picked up a shovel, too."

"Here, here." Giles puffed,

"Sorry, but I'm an old-fashioned gal. I was raised to believe that men dig up the corpses and the women have the babies." Buffy told the boys before turning to Willow and Lizzy, "So, speaking of the wacky, what was Cordelia's whole riff about painful memories? Who's Daryl?"

"Daryl Epps. Chris' older brother. He was a big football star. All-State two years ago. He was a running... He was a running... Uh, someone who runs and catches." Willow explained,

"Was he a studly?" Buffy asked,

"Big time. All of the girls were crazy for him."

"And he broke Cordy's heart? Thus possibly proving its existence." Lizzy joked,

"He died. Rock climbing or something? He fell." Willow said,

"Man, that's lousy. Poor Chris." Buffy stated,

"Ever since then Chris has been real quiet. Kind of in his own world. I heard their mother doesn't even leave the house anymore." Willow said before Giles' head popped up,

"I think we're there."

The three of them stood up and walked over to the edge of the hole, "By the way, are we hoping to find a body, or no body?"

"Call me an optimist, but I'm hoping to find a fortune in gold doubloons." Xander joked,

"Um, body would mean flesh-eating demon, no body would point towards the, uh, army of zombies thing." Giles replied, "Take your pick, really. Right, then, uh..." He looked over at Xander, "Go on."
