"SO... WHAT DO YOU THINK OF TOM?" Buffy asked as the Summers sisters walked down the street,

"He's..." Lizzy paused, trying to come up with the right words,

"Not Angel?"

She shrugged, "I guess." Lizzy looked over at her sister, "What about Callum?"

"Ugh." Buffy groaned, "What a hottie." The two sisters laughed, "I'm thinking of going to the frat party they're hosting in a few days." The two stopped and Buffy grabbed her hands, "Please go! I know Tom invited you."

Lizzy pulled away and the two kept walking, "I don't know, Buf. Until I know what's going on with Angel and I, I don't really want to pursue that."

"He's a vampire, Lizzy. What relationship can you have with him?"

Lizzy stopped and looked around, "I'm going to head to the cemetery. You got the hospital?" She asked her sister,

Buffy nodded, "Be careful."

"You too."

Lizzy patrolled the cemetery, slowly strolling past the gravestones. She was near the back wall when she spotted something reflecting off the moonlight in the grass. The blonde carefully bent down and picked it up, noticing that it was a broken bracelet.

"There's blood on it." Lizzy let out a small gasp, grabbing her stake but stopping when she turned and saw it was Angel approaching,

"Hi. It's nice to..." She registered what he said, "Blood?"

"I can smell it." He stated,

"Oh." Lizzy looked down at the bracelet, "It's pretty thin. It probably belonged to a girl." She commented,

"Probably."

Lizzy let out a sigh and smiled, "I-I was... just thinking, wouldn't it be funny some time to see each other when it wasn't a blood thing. Not funny 'ha, ha', more like... just a thought."

"What are you saying, you wanna have a date?"

"No?" Lizzy began playing with the bracelet in her hands.

"You don't wanna have a date?" He questioned,

"Who said 'date'? I-I-I never said 'date'." Lizzy stuttered nervously. No one's ever made her this nervous before, especially a boy.

"Right. You just wanna have coffee or something." Angel stated,

"Coffee?" She questioned hopefully,

Angel looked away, "I knew this was gonna happen."

"What? What do you think is happening?" Lizzy asked,

"You're sixteen years old, Lizzy. I'm two hundred and forty-one." He said,

"I've done the math." She responded,

"You don't know what you're doing, you don't know what you want..." Angel started and Lizzy could feel her anger rising,

"Oh. No, I, I think I do. I want out of this conversation." She began walking past him but he grabbed her,

"Listen, if we date you and I both know one thing's gonna lead to another." He told her,

"One thing already has led to another." Lizzy argued, "You think it's a little late to be reading me a warning label?"

"I'm just trying to protect you. This could get outta control."

"Isn't that the way it's supposed to be? Despite what's happened to me, what's happened between us, I still want to be with you, Angel."

"I scare you, Elizabeth." Angel stated, using her full name,

"I'm not scared of you. I'm just scared of what you could do." Lizzy replied,

Lizzy let out a gasp as Angel grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her close, "This isn't some fairy tale. When I kiss you, you don't wake up from a deep sleep and live happily ever after."

"No." Lizzy whispered, "When you kiss me I wanna die."
