"Caleb?"

"Oops."

"Yeah, oops. I was sleeping
so soundly... It's seven AM what
do you want?"

"Meet you?"

"Besides that."

"WAIT. THAT'S TODAY."

"We're meeting today?!
As in six freaking hours?"

"Yup. Why are we waiting
so long? We could meet right
now."

"You do remember I just
woke up? I look awful. I
need six hours to choose
an outfit and fix myself up."

"I wouldn't mind if you
showed up looking like
a drowned rat. Or in
your PJ's."

"Well, that's sweet, but
that's just not how girls
operate."

"Okay then. So what are
you telling your mom?"

"That I'm meeting a
friend. She's dropping
me off at the park and
picking me up later
when I'm ready. What
did you tell your mom?"

"The same. Except she
knows its a girl I like."

"...Oh."

"So Strawberry, I wanted
to ask you this for a while.
What happened to you in
preschool?"

"Nooooo Caleb!"

"Please? I'll take
strawberry cheesecake
ice cream along to the
park."

"You jerk. This is
blackmail. But okay,
I'll tell you. So when I
was at preschool one
day, this kid that I
hated wrecked the
painting I was making
for my mom. Instead
of just telling the
teacher what he did
I waited until he wasn't
watching then I dumped
a bucket of paint over
his head. It was hot
pink, and he hated that
color. I have to admit,
I was a pretty smart kid."

"You dumped a bucket of
paint on a little kid? Did
you get in trouble?"

"Of course not. I just gave
the teacher my signature
cute puppy face and she
just called the boy's
parents, not mine. He had
to go home for the rest
of the day because he had
paint all over him."

"My god, Strawberry. You
really are something else.
I can't wait to see you."

"Only six hours..."
