"Are you sure?" Chris asked for what felt like the millionth time
I laughed, "Yes! Now stop asking!"
He smiled and put his phone away, "Just double checking. I want this to be perfect!"
"It will be." I smiled
"How do you know?" He asked raising his eyebrow
"Because it's you and you are sweet, funny, loveable, caring, romantic, handsome and because" I gave him a kind, sincere gentle smile "she loves you."
His eyes lit up and he grinned, "Thank you Arwen!" He said pulling me into a hug
"Oh!" I exclaimed as I collided with his toned body, "Okay, we're hugging now." I laughed hugging him back
Chris laughed and pulled away, "I am so glad you are her best friend and that you know her! And that you are dating Karl!" He chuckled, "Makes it easier on me when I want to surprise Rory during filming."
I laughed and nudged his arm, "Go before your window closes!" He sent me another smile before dashing off to his dressing room to change out of his Star Trek costume.
I shook my head and made my way towards Karl's dressing room. They had just filmed the scene where Spock's mom dies and luckily that was the last shot of the day. They've been filming since three this morning and I've been on set since eight. It's now ten at night and I'm exhausted and starving. Wonder if Karl wants to grab something on the way back to the hotel or if he just wants to get room service.
As soon as I opened the door to his dressing room, I found him angrily stuffing his extra clothes into his duffle bag.
"What's wrong?" I asked closing the door
"What's it matter to you?" He bitterly asked with narrowed eyes, "Shouldn't you be sneaking around with Chris right now?"
I looked at him confused, "You're my boyfriend Karl, whatever is wrong with you matters to me. And I'm not sneaking around with Chris."
"You two are always talking secretively and disappearing together!" Karl exclaimed, "I see the smiles and hugs. I can hear the laughter as well. Let's not forget about all the texting and calling you two are doing. For god sakes, he has a girlfriend who loves him!" He gave me a dirty look, "And that woman is your best friend. How could you do that to her? How can you both do that to us?" He shook his head and headed for his trailer door
"Nothing is going on between Chris and I!" I exclaimed reaching out to grab his arm as he passed me
He quickly moved out of my reach and looked me dead in the eye, "I find that hard to believe. I know something is going on."
"Karl, would you please just let me explain?" I pleaded
"There is nothing to explain!" He yelled, "We are over Arwen! I want your stuff out of this trailer and out of my hotel room by tomorrow. I'll be staying with Zach tonight." He said and then left slamming the door behind him as tears fell down my face.
I quickly collected my things and went back to the hotel. After packing my stuff, I laid in bed and cried. Why wouldn't he just listen to me? God, he is so frustrating! As soon as morning came, I was out of the room and gone from the hotel before anyone from the cast knew I was gone. I didn't answer their phone calls or texts asking where I was, what was wrong with Karl and if something happened between us.
Chris and Aurora, Rory, called and I told them what happened. Chris said he'd talk to Karl but later that day when Chris joined Rory and I for dinner, we seen how the talk didn't go so well. Karl had punched Chris leaving a nice shiner on the side of his eyes and temple. When Chris tried to say something to him after the first punch, Karl punched him again splitting Chris's bottom lip open. I profusely apologized to Chris and Rory about Karl's behavior. I even sent Karl a text getting onto him for punching Chris twice! Karl texted back angry that I was even hanging out with Chris and that I was getting onto him for punching the guy who, in his words, stole me from him.

"Don't worry, you got this." I said handing Chris a drink
We were at the release party for the movie. All the cast and crew were here along with the significant others. Chris and I were standing at the open bar waiting for Rory to come back from the bathroom. It's been eight months since Karl and broke up. Both of us have moved on. He now has a girlfriend who he has been with for five months now. As for me, well I have been in a new relationship for about three months now.
Chris down the drink, "I really hope I don't screw this up or start crying." He looked at me
I chuckled, "So what if you cry? You are proposing to the woman you love! Crying is aloud!" He gave a small smile and then his eyes trailed behind me and a full-blown smile graced his face
"Sorry it took so long." Rory said walking up, "Zoe needed help fixing her dress." She said taking the Chris offered her
"No worries." I smiled, "Chris and I were just talking."
"What did he talk your ear off about this time?" She laughed taking a drink
I sent Chris a knowing smile, "Just how nervous he is about the reviews."
She looked at him, "Don't worry babe, everything will be amazing!" She smiled as he wrapped his arm around her
"See, I told you!" I grinned at him, "Stop worrying about it!"
Chris playfully rolled his eyes at me then took the drink out of Rory's hand and led her to the balcony. I watched as the confusion coated her face at his actions. Everyone got quiet and gathered around to watch the proposal.
I stayed at my spot by the bar and watched with a drink in my hand. As I sipped at my drink through the straw, a figure stopped beside me.
"I'm sorry." Karl's voice reached my ears and I almost choked on my drink as I looked at him
"Excuse me?"
He turned to fully look at me, "I'm sorry. I was a complete dick to you. I shouldn't have yelled and I should have let you explain." He sighed, "Yes I was in the wrong for punching Chris but at the time I thought you were cheating on me with him and I was angry. Not to long after I punched him- Zach, Anton, Simon and Zoe cornered me and explained everything. They told me how you were just helping Chris plan all of this." He motioned to the party around us. "I know my actions are inexcusable and that we've both moved on."
I stopped him before he could continue, "It's okay." I softly said causing him to look at me confused, "After some time thinking about it, it did look shady on Chris and I's part. I'm sorry for ever making it seem like I cheated on you. It's in the past now and we're in the present. Here, there is no need to hold onto what you can't change. I forgave you a long time ago Karl." I smiled softly at him and touched his arm, "I wish nothing but the best for you. Good luck on your future films and great job on the movie." I smiled at him and walked away.
