My mom stormed right up to me with a fire raging in her eyes. My dad followed right after, but he didn't seem as angry. My mom takes me by the elbow and pulls me outside, so we can "chat." The chat will consist of her yelling a string of words that aren't allowed.
" Young lady what have you done!!!! EXPLAIN RIGHT NOW!" She demanded looking me straight in the eyes.
" It was self defense! Amber came after me first! You HAVE to believe me!" I pleaded.
" ALL I GOT WAS A CALL FROM SCHOOL SAYING YOU BEAT UP A POOR GIRL!" She says more unsure of herself.
" I uh uh..." I trailed off.
Of course, Chandler swoops in like a super hero to save the day!
" I saw the whole thing! Amber came at her and slapped her. Whitney is telling the truth" He says also pleading.
My mom looked back and fourth between Chandler and me. She finally let out a deep breath before she decided to talk.
" Okay I believe you, but why did she feel the need to slap you?" She asked concerned.
" Well, it was sorta over... Chandler." I mumble.
Chandler's face goes every kind of red.
" Why did you argue about Chandler?" She asked staring straight at him.
" Because Amber is jealous that we are... dating." I say looking towards the floor.
" Oh, and when did you plan on telling me?" She asked.
" Now?" I say as more of a question.
For some reason we all burst out laughing. It wasn't even that funny! At least it got me off the hook!

Brenna called later that night.
" OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPEND!" She said.

" Are you kidding me! I have wanted to slap Amber right across her fake orange face! That was PERFECT Whitney!!!!" She said happily.
So I wasn't the only one who hated Amber.
" Well it felt really good too!" I said giggling.
I got a text from Chandler at that moment.
" Hey Bren, I will call you back later. Chan Chan texted me!!!" I swear you could see hearts in my eyes at that moment.
Chandler's text read: What you did today was awesome! TTYL
OMG! HE FREAKING PUT A HEART! Chandler Riggs, the Chandler Riggs texted me and used a heart! Reality hit me then, I AM DATING CHANDLER RIGGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
