Lunch with Brenna and Sam

Maybe I should date Sam! I kept saying that over and over to myself in my car on my way to go to lunch with Brenna and Sam. Sam is cute, Sam is nice, Sam is funny, SAM WOULD NEVER CHEAT ON ME! I found myself just getting outraged by the thought of Amber and Chandler. Oh well, he can go have fun with his new little girl friend. UGH I HATE CHANDLER!!

Lunch should get my mind off of things! We were going to a small local café that had just opened up. But I don't really want to eat! What if Chandler cheated on me because I am fat? I looked down at my stomach. Insert sigh here. Ever since Chandler cheated on me I have hated everything about me!

When Sam saw me walking towards the booth a smile light up his already perfect face. I think his face is betterer than Chandler's. Yes I realize that is not a word but it is true!

" Hi Sam! Hi Brenna!" I said, my mood was actually brightening up some!

" Wow! You look amazing." Sam said almost speechless.

I was wearing a teal colored dress that had ruffles and a brown belt. I also had on some white leggings, and a pair of light boots. It was kind of chilly outside.

" Thank you." I said giving him a wink that only he noticed. I could of swore I saw his face get red.

I sat down next to Sam. We ordered our food and Brenna and I talked. Brenna had to go to the bathroom. I waited until she was gone before I whispered into Sam's ear....

" I think I am ready to give my heart to somebody new." I said looking into his eyes.

" And who would that be?" He asked but I was for sure he already knew the answer.

" You." I said looking deeply into his eyes.

He took a moment and searched my face. I guess he wanted to make sure that I wasn't lying. Instead of responding, he reached over and brushed a strand of hair out of my face.

" I want to keep your heart, but I also want to give you my heart." He said.

Just at the moment Chandler walked in. Sam was still looking into my eyes. I swear I could see Chandler's eyes blaze fire.

I expected him to walk past our table but he sat down!

" Brenna invited me." He said glaring at Sam.

" Why!?" I asked almost about ready to cry.

" I was going to make it up to you, and Brenna and I had this planned." He said handing me flowers and a teddy bear that said I am sorry.

" I see that you have found somebody else though." He said outraged.

I almost wanted to forgive him. I had just gave my heart away and I couldn't easily give it back. I had realized that Brenna had gone to the bathroom to give Chandler the signal to come. Sam started to get up and leave.

" Where are you going?" I asked sadly.

" No matter how much you say you want your heart to be mine, I can see that you still have feelings for Chandler. I can see it in your face. I can see it in the way you look at him." He said.

" Please don't be mad at me." I whispered.

" I am not mad at you. I want you to be happy." He said turning away and leaving.

I turned and looked at Chandler.

" So you figured you would get back at me with my best friend?" He asked almost angry.

" NO! CHANDLER THIS ISN'T MY FAULT! YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CHEATED ON ME! I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE MAD AT YOU! At least Sam cared about me." I said whispering the last part.

Chandler's eyes got softer.

" I know what I did was wrong, but I don't love Amber. She kissed me and before I could push her away you came. My heart belongs to you and only you. He said staring at me fully in the eyes.

" I really want to believe you." I said sadly.

" It is the truth." Chandler said softly.

I stared at the table for a moment. Chandler lifted my chin up and gave me a small kiss on the cheek.

" Will you be my girlfriend again?" He asked almost as if he was scared to ask it.

I took a moment to think. Chandler or Sam? I let out a deep sigh.

" Of course." I said.

Brenna came out of the bathroom and she had a face of utter confusion. He obviously had NO idea what had just happened!
