10: what changed

Kiku parked the car and we both got out
I stared at his house in awe
As Kiku got my suitcase
The house was so nice

Kiku opened the door and we both walked in
It was even nice on the inside

"I'm gonna go change out of my work clothes and then I'll prepare some tea" I nodded as he walked away

I sat down on the couch
Kiku's house was pretty modern yet still traditional

I smiled to myself
As I sat back and looked at the ceiling
It feels so good to see him again
It's been to long
And to painful

I here footsteps
And I stop looking at the ceiling and look at Kiku who changed into pajamas

At least he's still comfortable around me
I took a deep breath as he walked into the kitchen

Once the tea was done Kiku came in with two cups
He set one of them in front of me and sat down next to me

"So (y/n)-san how are you?" He asked
I frowned for a second before smiling again
Why didn't he call me chan
Oh whatever
We haven't seen each other in awhile

"I'm good how about you?" I said taking a sip of the tea
"I'm good I got promoted not to long ago" he said
"Oh that's good" I smiled a bit
He nodded a bit
I bit my lip at the awkward silence

Kiku stood up and walked into the kitchen
I let out a breath as he left
Has things really changed that much...
He's a lot more distant
Hopefully it doesn't stay like this

Kiku walked into the room
"I have to go work on some things you can stay in here or go to bed" he then walked into another room
I scoffed
It's been years and this is how he treats me
He has definitely grown

I stood up and stretched my aching muscles
What changed....
