Alec's face was hard as we walked to a middle section of the Institute where there were big screens and runes dancing around the entire place.

Eyes were on me as we walked and I kept my head down. My hands were in front of me, fumbling together as we walked and the closer we got, the louder voices were.

"I was hoping those clothes would fit you," The voice I assumed was aimed at me made me glance up with wide eyes as one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen stood in front of me, hand outwards. "I'm Isabelle, but you can also call me Izzy. I hope my brother wasn't giving you a hard time." She looked at him with a smile before I placed my hand in hers.

"Bianca." I didn't know what else to say to the woman, her hair was black as night and her brown eyes were wide with confidence, wonder, and playful mischief.

She turned back to the table the others were standing or sitting at and I followed behind Alec. "Ignore her, I do." He was still looking at his sister as he spoke to me. There was a hint of playfulness in his voice towards his sister and she turned to glance at him quickly.

"I heard that." He smiled at her.

"You were supposed to." I stifled a laugh at the two, wishing I had a sibling. I could tell their bond was unbreakable and I envied it. "Everyone, this is Bianca. She will be joining us so I can keep an eye on her considering everything going on. Bianca, this is Jace and Clary, you've met Izzy, and that's Hodge." He spoke to me as an older blonde male walked in. He was attractive and well-built but not my type. He looked at me with confusion in his eyes. I took in his look when I noticed a circle rune placed upon his neck and I gasped in fear. My eyes widened and I took a few panicked steps back, bumping into a screen behind me and then another person, making them drop the items in their hands and making me fall to the ground, trying to apologize profusely to them.

My breathing quickened and I kept wondering why everyone else was perfectly fine, besides the fact that they were staring at me in surprise and confusion. Jace, the younger blonde male, was quick on his feet to help me up as soon as I fell. "Are you okay?" His arms were wide from the muscles in them and it was almost made me want to swoon.

"I-I uh- Why does he have a Circle member's rune on his neck?" Recognition in Alec's eyes formed and he spoke first.

"Hodge was a member of the Circle around the Uprising and they made every previous member get a mark. He's on our side." I sighed in content and nodded to Jace.

"I'm fine, thank you." He cautiously let me go, making sure I was fine before returning to the table with me. I sat down silently, eyes focused on my lap since I was too afraid to look at anyone.

"Let's start Hodge," Alec told the man.

"Magnus Bane is over 300 years old. And, as you can see, he's not exactly shied away from the pleasures of every century." I looked up at the screen as he flipped through the photos of the warlock. "His tastes are both exquisite and quite excessive."

"He looks like the Downworld's David Guetta," Clary spoke.

"Guetta's already a Downworlder. Vampire? Ever seen him in the daylight?" Isabelle was playful with her words but I had no idea who this guy was.

"Who's David Guetta?" All eyes flew to me again.

Clary looked to her right at me, "You don't know David Guetta? He's a famous musician."

I returned my gaze to my hands in my lap, "I wasn't allowed to listen to music or watch movies, I've seen a few old movies from when they were watching one or two but nothing really new." Pity and sadness flickered in everyone's eyes.
