"morning" bob mumbles, his voice still raspy due to his sudden awakening. evelyn had sat up quickly because she was meeting lindsey and marie at the coffee shop, the one bob had previously taken her to.
evelyn had been reaching for her phone, checking to see if marie or lindsey had texted her. she gave bob a soft smile even though his head was buried into the pillow. but her face soon dropped. bob had emerged from the pillow, feeling how tense she had gotten.
"what's wrong?" he says, now seeing how she looked into her phone. "did they cancel? i can take you, or we can go to the movies to watch spider-man or-"
"no, no i-" evelyn stops, showing what she had seen.

"oh." was all that bob could say. "are you gonna answer him?"
evelyn shakes her head rapidly. "god no." she slides the message, pressing clear so that she couldn't think about it. she then set her phone aside and proceeded to get ready for her plans.
