The ferry carried me into a dark tunnel. I was now inside the Shadow Temple.

If anyone else was here, they would't even be able to see me, my clothes, like other Sheikah, were dark. Dark blues and purples. I could be wearing bright colors, and they still wouldn't see me. I had spent years learning to stay hidden in the shadows, and I was a master at it now. I could get past any guard, any trap, and any unfortunate failing of structures.

I was on a lower level of the Temple, and would have to make my way up. I had a task to fulfill while I was here. Impa had given me a bag of locks and keys to put  up as I left, to protect the secrets here. The Hero of Time must return here, and while this may slow him down somewhat, it was needed to protect the temple from thieves. Ganondorf was the King of Thieves after all.

Each room I came into was dark, with the smell of death everywhere. There were bones lining the walls, and blood upon the walls and floor. Why it was like this was unknown to me. It looked as if people were imprisoned here, and tortured. I had to search each room, looking for the scroll, or book that explains the history of the temple.

There were monsters throughout the temple, but I easily avoided them. If anything did get in my way, they met a quick end from my blades. I could be quite a distance, and simply throw a knife at the creatures, or if it was needed, a jab of the blade in a weak spot ended them in one fatal strike. A few beast may require blades with poison on them, but almost anything could be killed in one move.

I walked into an empty room, or rather what appeared to be an empty room. It was in fact empty of bones and such things, but something was hiding in the shadows. I felt its presence, it was behind me, to my left. It knew where I would enter from, and it was counting on me being right handed, thus my reaction in a quick strike would be slowed, either I'd strike with my left hand, and be slower because it thought I was right handed, or I use my right hand, but must turn to attack. It was most likely the only thing here that had a mind to plan an attack.

I  heard it make a move, it was betting its life on a slow reaction from me.

In one swift move, a dagger went from my side into the creatures forehead. I was just as good with my left hand as I was my right.

The monster was made up of bone and armor, and it crumbled to the floor in pieces. I looked over the body, and found a small bag. Inside this bag, was a small scroll. It had markings on it, but I had seen nothing like it before. I knew all present day languages, and the old versions of Hylain as a princess, and learned more in my training as a Sheikah. It was almost impossible for me to not know it.

This is the history of the Sheikah, but no matter how many times I tried to decipher it, I failed. The only thing I knew about these words, is that they were written in blood.

There may not be one person alive who can read this. But if there is, I must find them. Looking for Impa would be pointless, because Impa didn't read this scroll, she was told the legend by her master as a child. There was a legend, that if anything that was written in blood was spoken, the person who spoke the words would die the same death as the person whose blood the tale was written in. Her master tested this, it cost him his life.

The only way to know what this says is to find someone how can write the translation, or has the language itself for me to learn. This is something I must know, I can't rest until I do.

I have the secret, but I don't know it. It is why the shadow temple is in this state of ruin, why there is death in every room, corner and crack. Darkness is yet to have hold over this place, is is evil on its own.
