Katniss and I both woke up with a loud thumping on the door. Katniss picks up her dressing gown from a crumpled heap on the floor and I quickly got changed, if someone was thumping that loud they could surely wait.
Katniss stretched and slowly padded down the stairs. She opened the door and we were greeted by Johanna and Liz, as promised.
"Oh shit, Peeta I invited Mollie and Charlie over" Katniss exclaimed
"It's okay, they can just enjoy the lovely pleasant company of Johanna and Liz too" I said sarcastically
"Shut it bread boy" Johanna replied with venom in her voice.
Katniss glares at her
The door knocks again, it's Mollie and Charlie. Perfect timing.
"I guess you may all come in" I suggested, gesturing to the living room.
"Okay" Katniss replied grabbing my hand and dragging me into the living room.
We sat on the love seat, Johanna and Liz flinging themselves on the couch, and Mollie and Charlie carefully sat down on the other couch.
Katniss leant on my shoulder tucking her feet up, I instinctively put my arm around her.
"So anyway me and Liz have gotten back together!" Johanna exclaimed
"That's awesome" Mollie answered, breaking the silence
"Did johanna ask you?" Liz asked with venom in her voice
"Well no, but-"
"Back off her" Charlie said backing Mollie up.
"Shut up!" Johanna said "Or I'll smash my axe in your face"
"Jo, calm down" Katniss replied.
"Shut up or I'll smash yours in too" she sneered
"Hey!" I yelled. "Leave her alone" I said pulling my arm tighter around Katniss
"What are ya going to do bread boy?" She asked
"Can you just get out?" I demanded
"Fine, we're leaving, come on Jo" Liz said, standing up and grabbing her arm.
With that they left.
"Sorry about that" Katniss said calmly. "Johanna's just, you know, a bit mean at times, and apparently her girlfriend is too"
"It's okay" Mollie smiled
"They're very... Irritating" Charlie answered
"Thanks for standing up for me" Mollie whispered
"You're welcome" Charlie replied.
I could see Liz and Johanna cross the road and unlock the door to Jo's house. Well at least we'll not see them for a while.
"I should probably get going" Mollie said
"Yeah me too" Charlie answered "I'll walk you home"
"Okay" Mollie replied getting up.
And they left too.
"It's just me and you" Katniss said snuggling closer
"I love you" she whispered.
"You will forever be my always" I whispered
She tightly wrapped her arms around me.
With that we heard a banging at the door.
"Johanna's back" Katniss complained
"I'll get it" I replied, giving her a quick kiss on the lips
I opened the door expecting to see Johanna, but instead I found Haymitch. We haven't seen him in a while.
