Luke wasn't nearly as nervous as he thought he'd be when months back he decided to try online dating. Like with everything he made a list of pros and cons about it.
Pros
- no instant disappointment
- bigger chance of finding someone decent
- no strings attached
Cons
- being catfished
- being catfished
- being catfished
- first date
He and Michael had been talking for months before Luke was the one that suggested they should finally meet.
Luke has been on Tinder for over a month before he finally found someone worth talking to for more than a week.
The strange thing about it was that Michael had no profile picture, well he did but it was of three beautiful cats. Luke thought they were cute and nothing more when he swiped right.
What he didn't expect was for Michael to write to him only a few hours later.
Everyone he told about the boy and would ask to see his picture would lecture him about how he's being catfished. When in reality Luke actually thought it was like The Voice version of dating. He got the candy, not the wrapper.
Of course, there was a big possibility he wouldn't be attracted to how Michael looked like and that was what scared him the most. Luke was well aware that Michael liked him for both his personality and how he looked like. He never failed to mention how beautiful Luke was when he'd post a picture on his Instagram.
But yet again Michael calmed him down. If it wouldn't work out he'd be okay with being friends. If there would be no spark at least they found someone who enjoyed the same YouTube content, watched the same TV shows and a future concert buddy.
To calm down all of his relatives and friends, Luke had offered for them to meet at a bar Luke's brother's girlfriend was working at.
Michael was more than okay with it because if Luke wouldn't like him he could get drunk and forgot the blue-eyed model ever existed.
Not that Luke was actually a model but the photography student would often call him that.
Sitting at the table alone, Luke played Solitaire on his phone. He knew Michael liked being early so he decided to be there even earlier than him.
It was not only practical because it was easier for Michael, who knew how he looked, to find him but it also gave Luke the time to adjust to his surroundings. His phone kept buzzing with either good luck or call me if you need anything messages from his friends so he turned it to night mode.
With only ten minutes left until the date, Luke started to nervously turn around to spot someone who looked nineteen and had an eyebrow piercing. That was all he knew and he never asked for much more description from Michael.
Luke spotted a cute dog across the street and looked at him for a few minutes before his owner walked away and the dog after him.
He turned back and jumped on the spot because there was someone sitting in front of him.
Blond hair, green eyes, pale skin black eyebrow piercing and the reddest lips Luke had ever seen stretched into a wide grin.
