Michael was so tired he could barely move.

Avoiding your best friend was a lot harder than he thought. Since they were touring the world together Michael had to go on all these adventures with Calum and even visited the gym with Ashton.

All to avoid Luke who of course when Michael returned from playing hide and seek was lying on his bed.

Naked.

"What are you doing here Luke?" Michael asked he kept his tone monotone and he didn't even have to try. He was over with playing these games with Luke.

The younger man welcomed him with a large grin and in all honesty, Michael wanted to slap him and throw him out of the room.

"Waiting for you of course."

Michael sat on the bed to take off his shoes and Luke took the opportunity to crawl over and place innocent kisses on his neck and cheek. "I've missed you."

The green-eyed man wasn't having it so he pushed him back on the mattress. "Seriously Luke, I'm tired and when I get out of the shower I want you out of here."

"Why don't you want me anymore?" Luke asked when Michael stood up to go to the bathroom.

Michael sighed and turned back. His best friend looked honestly hurt but he was the one who hurt Michael in the first place.

"I do. You know I do. Just not like this anymore."

"You know what." Luke raised his voice. "We had a good thing going on before you decided you want us to date. I don't know why you had to ruin everything."

"Are you even hearing yourself? We were fucking around. Literally. If for you that is good enough then you might as well find someone else. Otherwise, the offer still stands. Go on a date with me and let me show you we can be more than this."

It was clearly a sensitive topic for the younger of the two. Luke suddenly felt vulnerable and pulled a blanket over his body.

"Why would you want to date me? It would never work out. I don't want to lose you, Mikey. I'd rather not have you like this than to not have you at all. You're my best friend."

"You can't know that. There's clearly a chemistry between us and it's not only physical. I wouldn't gamble with our friendship either but I know this could work. If it doesn't then I know we're strong enough to still be friends. I'm willing to give it a shot and I'm okay with you not wanting to. I can ignore how I feel if I have to. But I can't ignore them when we sleep together every night when you whisper I love you to me when you come. Because I know how I feel and I have a pretty clear idea of what you feel for me."

Michael turned his back to Luke once more.

"Hey, Mikey?" Luke whispered laudably enough for Michael to stop, but not to turn around.

"You want to go on a date with me?"
