             CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW

(Starting from last chapter)

I went to do my daily routine, got dressed and then went to go check up on Cai. "Baby, come on. Get up. We have to go to the house, okay?" I said as I leaned down and kissed her forehead. She moved a little bit under the covers and slowly opened her eyes. She then stood up and made her way to the bathroom. "Sweetheart, I'll be downstairs, okay?" I said as I looked around the corner at her. She nodded her head and whipped her eyes. I ran downstairs and cleaned up a bit and grabbed something to eat. I continued to wait on her but I then got a call from Tony. "Hello?" I said as I put the phone between my ear and my shoulder as I tried to put some clothes in the washer. "Hey, baby. Are you guys on your way?" Tony asked me. "Yeah. We-.....we are, just trying to put this stuff up." I said as I pressed start and walked over to the bottom of the stairs. "Oh ok, well I'll be-..." Tony said before I cut him off. "Hold on..." I said as I covered the phone. "Cai! Come on!" I yelled upstairs. "Ok, I'm back." I said in a rush. "My baby girl taking her time, huh?" Tony asked me. "Yep. This happens every single time that you and her stay up late together. You left too late yesterday. You know my baby can't go to sleep late and wake up early." I said as I looked in my purse to make sure that I had everything. "Cheryl..." Tony said. "What?" I said as I stopped and looked frustrated. "Calm down and you keep saying your baby. You know how I feel about that. Our baby." Tony said. I got silent. "Tony, you know that I didn't mean it like that." I said. "I know. It just makes me feel some type of way like....when it comes to our children that I'm just irrelevant." Tony said. "You've said it before as well. It's not just me, okay?" I said as I started to sound irritated. "Baby, look. It's ok. I was just telling you how that made me feel and from now on I'll also take your feelings into consideration." Tony said in a soft, yet soothing voice. I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. I finally did and said something back to him. "I apologize. I'm just a little overwhelmed right now. I'm not really that-.....ya know, feeling.....the best right now." I said as I put my hand on my head. "I know baby. That's why, when I see you today- I'm going to take care of you. I promise. Have you ate anything?" Tony said. "I grabbed a little something just to hold me until I came over there. I'm not really feeling too good." I responded. "Baby, you remember what to Doctor said with Cai. You aren't just for yourself anymore- you're also for the baby. You can't just grab quick things to eat in the morning. That is probably why you're feeling sick. Eat something." Tony said. "I know but I wanted to hurry and come over there." I said as I looked around. "I know. Just-.....settle down and eat something. No need to rush. I'm going to be right here no matter how early or late you get here. Eat and-.....Are you standing up a lot too?" Tony said. "Ummm, well- I'm standing up right now...." I said. "That's another thing. Sit down, baby. You know what- I'm coming to you. Stay there." Tony said in a hurry. "But Tony I wanted to come over-...." I said but then he hung up. I looked at the phone and then I went to the couch to sit down. I threw my head back and closed my eyes. "Mommy, I'm ready." Cai said as she came down the stairs. I looked up and opened my eyes. "Daddy decided to come over here." I said in a low voice. She stopped and looked at me with an upset facial expression. "But Mommy-...." Cai said but I then cut her off. "Look, Sweetheart- Mommy isn't really feeling that well right now. I know that you're upset that we can't go over Daddy's house today but we will. I understand that you miss him and your room. Just please baby, go upstairs and do something. Play. Watch TV. Anything. Can you do that for Mommy?" I said in a demanding, yet calm voice. "Yes ma'am." Cai said as she looked sad and walked up the stairs. I sighed. I looked down at my belly and put my hand on it. "What are we gonna do with your older sister?" I said as I then smiled. I then heard the door bell ring. "Who is it?" I said as I went over to the door slowly and waited for the response. "Tony." The voice said.  I opened the door. "Hey." I said as I moved out of the way. "Hey." Tony said as he stepped inside. He then looked at me and kissed me. "You look beautiful." Tony said as he touched my wait. "Thanks..." I said in an awkward tone. "Where's my baby girl?" Tony asked me. "Upstairs. She's kinda upset at me." I said. Tony laughed a little. "Well, how are you feeling?" Tony asked me as he watched me close the door. "Still not really feeling that well. Just wanting to lay down." I added as I walked back to the couch. Tony followed me and sat next to me. "Come here." Tony said as he looked at me. I looked at him and then I scooted closer towards him. He wrapped his arms around me and my back laid against his chest while I put my legs onto the couch. "I missed this." Tony said as he got comfortable. "Same." I said as I smiled. "Baby....." Tony said. I turned my head a little and looked at him. "Yes?" I said. "I love you so much. Just having you in my arms right now....I just feel so blessed. I know that I've taken you for granted but I'm going to fix it. All I want to do is to be here during this pregnancy and forever on. I'm happy that you're coming back home. I've been cold every night without you there." Tony said as he looked at me. "I love you too. I'm also happy that it's time for me to come home. Cai has really missed her Daddy a lot. I've missed you as well. I'm just happy that things are changing." I said as I looked back and smiled at him. "Is it ok if I were to stay the night?" Tony asked me. "Tony, if you think that you're gonna-....." I said but he then stopped me. "No. No sex. I just want to sleep and start off slow. I want to build up that trust with you again because I know that I've lost it. I just want to hold you." Tony said. "Oh. Ok....well, yes. It's fine. I'd like for you to hold me." I said as I played with his hand. "Daddddyyy." Cai said as she came downstairs. Tony looked over at her and continued to hold me. "Hey baby girl! Guess what?" Tony said as he smiled at her. "What?" Cai said as she smiled and put her little hand on his head. "Daddy is staying with you guys tonight and then-..." Tony said as he looked down at me. "Maybe....if Mommy is ok with it, you guys came come back home. What do you think?" Tony said as he looked at Caiya. "I'd like that." Cai said as she smiled really big. "What do you think about that, Mommy?" Tony asked me. "I'm ready to go home." I said as I turned my head a little to look up at Tony. Tony smiled. "What are you up there doing, Sweetheart?" Tony asked Cai. "Ummm, drawing stuff." Cai said. "Did you want to come draw down here?" Tony asked her. "It's fine, Daddy. I wanna just go up stairs and draw." Cai said as she kissed his forehead and mines as she then went back upstairs. "Drawing." I said as I turned my body, sat up and looked at Tony. "Yep. Drawing and they look great too. She's talented." Tony said. "I mean.....I would have thought that she would wanna be like us and do the theater thing but....drawing? I don't even know anybody in my family.....or your family who likes to draw. Do you?" I said as I looked at Tony. "Nope. I mean...plus, we haven't even introduced musicals or straight plays to her. She only knows that we've been apart of them but I'm not sure." Tony said. "I don't know either. I'm just happy that she's starting on a beautiful craft early, ya know? She's reallllly good and she's so young." I said as I held his hand. "Right." Tony said. The door bell rings. "I got it." Tony said as he made his way to get up from the couch. "No. I got it." I said as I got up and ran towards the door. I opened it. "Hey....Shemar." I said as I looked at him. "Hey, Beautiful. Can I come in?" Shemar asked. "Ummm, sure." I said as I moved for him to come inside. Shemar came inside. "What's up, Tony." Shemar said as he smiled at him. "Hey, best friend." Tony said as he looked at me. "Ha. Ha. Cheryl can only call me that. Sorry." Shemar said as he sat down. "I get it. I'm happy that she has a friend like you. You're always there for her." Tony said. "Yeah, man. Anything...." Shemar said as he looked over at me. I laughed a nervous laugh and walked over to sit with Tony on the couch. Tony then put his arm around me. "So, how are you, Tony?" Shemar asked as he sat down next to me. "Good. How about you?" Tony asked Shemar. "Good. Happy that I was able to spend some time with Cheryl. We've never spend as much time as we have the other day. I saw a new side of my best friend. She's wonderful." Shemar said as he sat back and looked at me. "Thanks, Shemar...." I said with an irritated face. "She is wonderful." Tony added. "You and I both know how it feels." Shemar said as he smiled at Tony. "Ohkayyyyy. Ummmm, water anybody?" I said as I jumped up and pointed to them both. "Oh, no thank you. I'm fine." Tony said. "Ok, baby. What about you, Shemar?" I asked. "Sure. Let me come with you." Shemar said. I sighed. We both then went into the kitchen. I opened the refrigerator and Shemar then hugged me from behind. "I miss you." Shemar said as he kissed my neck. "Shemar, we talked about this." I said as I turned around. "I know, Cheryl. I just had to see you. Don't you miss me?" He asked me. "Of course. I always miss my best friend." I said. "Well." Shemar said as he looked me in the eyes. "Well...." I said as I looked at him. "You're so beautiful. Please, make sure that that man treats your right." He said as he started to look sad. "I will. I've told you that, Shemar." I said as I smiled. He smiled back at me. "Can I at least get a kiss?" He asked me. I laughed a little laugh and shook my head. "Why? You've kissed me before." He added as he laughed. "I know that. I just-.....we can't." I said as I looked at him. "I understand that. Best friends?" He said. "Always. Keep your comments to yourself in there. I know what you were doing." I said. "I know you did. Your nervous self jumped up and asked us if we wanted water." Shemar said as he laughed. "Yep." I said as I walked away. I went back over to sit next to Tony. Tony grabbed my hand. "Alright you two. I'm about to get going." Shemar said as he waved at us both. "See ya." Tony and I both said together.

Skip. Skip. Everybody is seated at the dinner table and silently eating.

"So, Cai- are you ready to go to school tomorrow?" Tony asked Cai. Cai slowly looked up and put her fork down onto her plate softly. "Yes sir. Kinda..." Cai said as she looked at the both of us. "Why "Kinda"?" I asked her as I looked at her with a confused look. "I'm only excited about doing art. Everything else is....boring." Cai said as she made a disgusted facial expression. Tony laughed a small short laugh and looked at me, then back at Caiya. "We know that you love drawing and art. These other subjects are important too." Tony said as he looked at her. Cai didn't say anything. She just picked up her fork and continued to eat with her head kinda low. I looked at her and then back at Tony. Tony just looked at me and then went to go put his things into the kitchen. I looked at Cai and touched her arm. "Is there something else at school that's happening that's causing you to not be excited about any other time of the day other than art time?" I asked her. "No, Mommy." Cai said as she got out of her seat. "You sure?" I asked her as she walked off with her plate. "Yes, Mommy." Cai said without turning around. I sighed. Something Is up and I'm gonna figure it out. I put my hands on my face and closed my eyes. "You okay?" Tony asked me as he came back from out of the kitchen and stopped to look at me.
I took my hand off my face and sat up straight. "Yeah......yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired. I should go get Cai's bath water ready and put her to sleep." I said as I stood up and grabbed my plate. "No. No. I got it. Just....go get in the shower and I'll be in there after I put Cai down to sleep. Okay?" Tony said as he took my plate from me. "Oh-.....ok." I said as I looked at him. I then went upstairs and prepared myself to get into the shower.

After Cheryl's shower. Cai's asleep.

I was laying in bed watching tv, while laying in a comfortable position. "Cai is fast asleep." Tony said as he walked into the room. "Thank you for doing that. To be honest, I really didn't feel well enough to do that tonight." I said as I hugged my pillow. "Thats why I'm here. To help." Tony said as he then took off his shirt. I looked at him and before he could see me looking at him, I looked back at the TV. Tony looked down at his shirt in his hands and then back up towards me. "I'm-....I'm gonna go ahead and get in the shower. Don't fall asleep on me." Tony said as he smiled a small smile and left with his things of clothes for the night. "Okay." I said as I yawned.

After Tony's shower...

I was asleep, comfortable and warm. I then felt Tony slip into be and wrap his arms around me from behind. "Cheryl." Tony said as he held me. "Yes?" I said sleepily. "I'm blessed to have you in my life." Tony said in a soothing voice. "Same here." I said as I put my arm on top of his arm that was wrapped around me. Tony then put his hand on my belly and smiled. "I'm excited to do this all over again. Another baby." Tony said. "I wasn't at first but I am now." I said. "Man, I remember when you were pregnant with Cai....you loved mashed potatoes." Tony said as he laughed. I laughed. "You're right. Yep. I loved my mashed potatoes but after that...I didn't like them anymore. I never liked mashed potatoes until that moment." I said as I laughed again. "You use to cry every single time we didn't have anymore. You was like "What am I going to eat? I don't like anything else." and that made me cry because I was the one always making them." Tony said as he rubbed my belly. I laughed. "I felt so bad for you. I was so upset." I said as I laughed again. "Moments like these. I love. Just you and I. I'm holding you and our baby." Tony said as he kissed my cheek. "I love these moments too. Every other night I was cold." I said as I smiled a small smile. "I was cold too. I'm just happy that I have my wife back." Tony said. I turned around to face him. I looked into his eyes and smiled. "I love you, Tony." I said as I hugged him in bed. "I love you more." Tony said as he hugged me back. Afterwards, we fell asleep and Tony held me all night. There was something different about his touch and the way he felt. Positive difference. Like, everything was gonna be alright.
