Chapter 17

Yasmin's P.O.V

I was sitting next to Mila, holding her hand.
Talking to her trying to wake her up.

Bringing up old memories from when we were younger.

"And remember when we fought over Kevin in 7th grade?" I said smiling at the memory.

I've been crying for the past 6 days.

But I've been crying the most today because tomorrow is Mila's last day on life support.

Her parents can't afford to keep her on life support any longer.

Some parents they are. Instead of staying here for her, they take a vacation and spend all their money on that.

Fucking bitches...

Edwin came next to me and hugged me.

"I miss her so much." I sobbed.

He rubbed my back and kissed my head.

"Me too baby. All of us miss her."

I glanced at Jessica and Brandon.

Jessica in Brandon's arms, both of them asleep.

You can tell they've been crying.

I sighed as more tears came streaming down.

Turning back to Mila, talking to her more.

Edwin by my side the whole entire time.

None of us left her.

All of a sudden the door bursts open.

Me an Edwin turned and Jessica and Brandon woke up.

Seeing Zion at the door.

He looked like a complete mess.

His eyes red and puffy.

He's been crying.

"ZION!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I yelled.

I was so tight.

He has the nerve to come here?!

He was searching around until he saw Mila's body.

At first, he looked confused.

But then I saw the old him. His eyes were filled with love, concern, and... anger?

He was looking at Mila and he touched his neck.

I saw a tear slip out.

I turned around to see what he was looking at.

The necklace he gave her for her 15th birthday...

Zion has one exactly like hers.

They promised each other that they would never take it off.

She kept her promise.

But when I looked at Zion's... he was wearing the dog tag Britney gave him instead..

He took it off.

And broke their promise...

Anger boiled in me.

"You fucking bastard..." I whispered.

He came closer.

"Did... Did I do this to her?" He asked with tears pouring out.

"...yes you did." I said disappointedly.

Tears came out of my eyes.

So did Zion.

He sat across from her and took her hand.

"I'm so sorry Camila. I'm sorry that I did this to you. I'm so fucking sorry." He whispered the last part while sobbing.

I can see the old Zion.

The Zion we all know and love.

Even though he's hurt all of us so much and broke all his promises, we still got love for the kid.

I got out of Edwin's arms and sat next to Zion.

And pulled him into a hug.

He started sobbing on my shoulder like there's no tomorrow.

While I started crying on his shoulder.

"I-I'm so sorry Yasmin. I'm so sorry I caused this on Camila. I'm sorry I broke my promise about not having sex until marriage. I'm sorry for breaking Camila's promise. I'm so sorry!" He sobbed.

This only made me cry harder.

Jessica came.

I glanced at Brandon, Jessica, and Edwin.

They were all crying hard.

I don't know if Zion deserves to be forgiven.

He's hurt all of us. But mostly Mila.

"Zion. I don't know if you deserve to be forgiven. Look what you've done to Mila! Because of you Mila might not survive! Tomorrow is her last day on life support!" I said sobbing into his shoulder.

"I know Yasmin! I know!" I think he's sobbing more than me.

We just stayed like that for the rest of the day.

Crying.

Hoping that Mila survives.
