He was sat there, on his knees tears rolling down his face. His whole body was shaking and he'd gone pale.
"It's not your fault...
It's mine. Because I'm a disgusting human being."
"Please don't think that about yourself, he's a monster."
"Goodbye Alex."
"Please don't go."
He was already out the door.
I don't usually let myself cry in front of other people.
But I can feel my heart breaking.
"Alex mon ami, are you ok."
I feel like I'm gonna vomit. Like I'm gonna pass out.
Like it's all a nightmare.
Angelica.
She did this.
She is the reason Johns tuition isn't going to be paid.
She's the reason my heart is breaking.
"I have to go."
I picked myself up.
I can feel the anger rising in my stomach.
I can feel my blood boiling.
I open the door and step into the hallway.
Room 1779.
"ANGELICA SCHUYLER, OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR RIGHT NOW!"
Angelica opened the door.
"Is everything okay?"
"YOU FUCKING BITCH I CANT BELIEVE YOU."
"What have I done?"
"DONT PLAY INNOCENT WITH ME, YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID."
Angelica Schuyler POV
Why is he mad at me? I don't understand. I can't think straight: I'm so confused.
It hurts seeing him like this.
"ALEX, I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT IVE DONE!"
"Does a certain voicemail to Henry Laurens ring a bell?"

You can see the tears in his eyes.

"WHY. WHY ME AND JOHN? WHAT DID WE EVER DO TO YOU?"
"Alex...I-I'm so sorry."
"WHY THOUGH?"
"BECAUSE IM IN LOVE WITH YOU!"
Shit.
Now was not the time.
"You..what?"
"I'm in love with you and I was jealous.He left his phone on the counter and I felt vulnerable. I'm so sorry."
"Sorry isn't enough. You ruined Johns life. He can't pay his tuition. So go and fuck yourself and don't talk to me."
Before I could answer he was gone and I was left alone crying in my room.
