Chapter Twenty Six

I must have fallen asleep while reading because when I woke up the book was on the night stand and the lamp was off. Light was shinning through the curtains. I sit up in bed and look at the nightstand. As well as the book being there there was also my phone and a note. I grab my phone and look at the time. 10:07 am. I open the note and it says : Dear Aubrie, When I woke up I saw you had a book so I knew you must have gotten up sometimes in the night. Next time feel free to wake me up. Breakfast is in the fridge since you slept through it. Coffee is in the pot waiting if it's cold you know how to make more. I'm in my office, find me when you're done. You're mate, Theo.

P.S. Wear something of mine today because Ace didn't like that you smelled like Sebastian.

The note makes me simile and I get out of bed stretching and yawning. I look down at the clothes I was wearing and remember that I already was wearing some of his clothes. Wouldn't that make me smell like him even though I talked to Sebastian for like ten minutes during the night? All well, who cares? Theo sweatshirts are really big and comfortable so it not like I mind that he told me to wear something of his. However, he may care when he never gets it back.

I go into Theo's closet and grab the first sweatshirt I see. It's a cute maroon one that I thought I've seen him wear. It also smelled a lot like him. I then leave the room and go to mine to grab some jeans and underwear. I take a shower in my room and then practically run to the kitchen because I'm starving and in a dire need for coffee.

I open the fridge and see a plate of eggs and bacon. I take it out and unwrap it from the saran wrap around it. I put it in the microwave and go over to the coffee pot and see that the coffee is cold. Sadness instantly goes through my body as I realize I have to dump it out because fresh coffee and reheated coffee taste way different and I was craving the fresh coffee and the warm smell it has while brewing. I put in another pot and wait.

After both my coffee and food are done I start eating. Then when finished I do the dishes and dry them and then make my way to Theo's office.

When I get there I can hear the arguing from outside the room and feel the tension seeping out under the door way and into the hallway.

What the hell is going on?

I hesitantly knock on the door, not wanting to interrupt the argument that was taking place behind these doors.

"That her! Maybe I'll just ask her myself." , I hear escape the room. I think it was Alexa who said that, but I couldn't be sure. The door has yet to open, but after a few seconds I see the knob start to turn and I feel myself become about anxious.

The door, now fully open reveals the individuals in the room. Theo's parents and sister are standing up by the corner of the right side of Theo's desk. While, Creppy Kyle and Max are sitting in chairs both showing signs of tension. Gavin is leaning on the left wall with a bored expression and Nicole is there right beside him. All of them but Gavin are staring at me.

"So is this a bad time because I can just go?", I question not making a move to come into the room.

"No, come in.", Theo says.

"Are you sure about that? Because I'm fine out here. Actually I love it out here...", I'm yanked inside by Alexa and the door slams shut.

Great, now I can't escape if I want to.

"What's going on?" I ask. I already could tell this involved me so the faster we get this done the after this tension ends.

"I think I've found a cure for the bacterium effect wolves." Alexa states after a while.

"Okay, how does this involve me?", I ask curiously as I move to take a seat in the chair by Max. Theo however must have had other plans because he grabs my hand and pulls me towards him.

"Everyone sit.", Theo commands and everyone scatters to get in a chair. After everyone is seated he sits down and pulls me into his lap behind the desk. With everyone now seated and facing me I see the worried look on his parents expression.

"We need you, Gavin, and Nicole to go back to bases, each of you at a different one, to test the antibiotics Gavin and I made." , she says calmly.

"Okay, then what's the issue? Can Gavin or Nicole not go?", I ask, but then I feel Theo tense and I instantly know the problem. "Theo doesn't want me to go." I state. 

Alexa nods and I feel Theo put his face in between my shoulder to smell I scent so it calms him.

"This is a conversation Theo and I need to have. I think it's best if you all leave. I'll inform you guys of the decision once it is reached. ", I announce. Everyone gets up and files out of the door and with it a little tense leaves.

When the door shuts I stand up and out of Theo lap and make my way to the other side of the table. Taking a seat in the chair across from him, I put my game face on and tell myself that we can talk through this with out starting a fight or at least that's what I hope.

Sebastian Foster loves being an Alpha. He loves the responsibility and the control he hold on everything. That was one of the main reasons he helped lead the werewolves coming out of hiding. Sebastian however hates one thing. Him having no mate at his side. So when an unfortunate accident leads to him meeting his mate he was happy. Until he's mind registered she was human. Then he realized she was a complicated that need to be dealt with but he had no idea how, but the more he gets to know her the more he realizes that she may not be a complication.
