Chapter Thirty Three

"Who is he to you?" He asks in a voice that comes out as harsh voice as he reals in some of his angry that's making his eyes slit.

"He's just a friend I met when I first joined. We had a thing a while back, but it wasn't serious and then something happened and we hadn't talked or seen each other since." I say as I take a seat on a stool and move the other one beside me in front me so Theo will sit down. I watch him as he digests what I said, ignoring the stool and pacing around the room.

"What happened? Did he hurt you? Because I will gladly cut off his head for you."

"No, he wasn't the one to hurt me..." Then the door is thrown open my Max and Kyle.

"We're being attacked." They say in a rush and I instantly go and start packing the medical supplies bags with vials of the antibiotic as well as grab to empty one to fill full of vials.

"Where are we being attack from?", Theo asks while he walks over to me with Max and Kyle as we all start packing them up.

"Everywhere. We are getting hit hard on the front and the air.", Max say as I hear an explosion from outside.

The bags are packed and we instantly leave the lab with most of the antibiotic. Theo leads the way to the weapons rooms as I start to give Max and Kyle instructions. "Okay Kyle, your main job for me is to get people back to the room we were in early and give them the antibiotic. Max your going to help me treat people on the field and triage them. I'll mark on them with a black marker and when Kyle takes them back a nurse can read it and know everything."

"Aubrie..."

"Theo, I know what you're going to say, but I'm going to go out there anyway. They need people out there and Max is going to be with me the whole time." I tell him in a voice that says I'm not going to back down on this.

"Okay, but we are going to finish that conversation later." He says as we enter the weapons room.

"Of course we are." as we all start to strap on weapons.

"Do you know if the fight is taking place in more human or wolf form?" I ask as I strap on a knife underneath my pants.

"Kind of split right now. They sent about an even number of wolves and vampires so it split. However, watch out for the vampires because I think they've been willingly starving themselves of blood and now they are out for anything with it. ", Theo says as we all finish.

I check the gun in my hand and then look at them. "All done?"

"Yes." They all said at once and Theo leads the way as we run to an exit.

Kyle splits of from us as soon as hes out attending to the nearest injured and Theo turn around and addresses Max.

"If anything happens to her, I will skin you." Then before Max can respond he's gone.

"Let's go." I say as I run behind a Humvee. I open the door to it and check to see if the driver inside of it is alive and I feel a heartbeat. Max starts shooting at someone right when a bullet hit the side of the car.

"I can hold him off, but my guess is he's called some of his friends so hurry up. " He says as I start righting on his body with vitals and major injuries. This take me about three minutes and I look up and see two more people have joined the other guy. I look at Max and then see a vampire behind him. Instantly I take my gun out and shot him when he's not wearing are uniform.

"Thanks, but I knew he was there Aubrie."

"Doesn't matter. He's done so mind link Kyle and tell him where he's located. Let's take care of them."

We use the Humvee for cover as Max shoots from it's left side and me the right. One thing about fighting a war against werewolves is that they don't go down easy so one bullet isn't going to do much to them unless you hit them in heart, heart or stomach. Wait a second...

"Max!", I call to him in a whisper.

"What? We are kind of busy!" He say as he shoots and then move behind the Humvee.

"I know, I'm going to take care of that so get ready to cover me.", I say as I get ready to sprint to the building across from me.

"Aubrie, what are you doing?" he ask. I don't say anything knowing that they wolves and vampire on the other side would know and we needed this element of surprise. "

"Just trust me."

"Aubrie.."

"Look we don't have time to discuss this so cover me, now." I say as I sprint towards the building. The vampire is by me in a minute, but I already knew he would me so I quickly take one of my knifes and stab him. He then send a quick kick my way, which has me fly back a little.

I see if get shot by Max which causes him to turn around for a second, so I throw my knifes at him. On he moves for so it grazes his arm, but the other hits his stomach. I take off running after this and open the door quickly and enable the supernatural walk and shocker on this door. He bangs against it once and he flings off the door when it shocks him. The building is quiet like no one is it in and I then find the stair and run up them as fast as I can. I get to the roof I unstrap the gun and set it up quickly. I then see two approaching Max and a wolf coming from behind. The wolf was a huge grey in and I could tell if he was on are side or theirs so I take out the two infringing of him and he attacks the wolf. Then I turn and looks for other enemies and take them out.

The field is a reck with blood covering a lot of it. From the roof I can see the other side being hit harder, but I could worry about that. I had to defend this side for now. That's when I hear the door open. I instantly take my gun and turn around only to see that it's Eli.

I drop my weapon and ask, "What are you doing here? How did you get up here?"

He does answer and I notice that he has a dark look in his face and he lifts his gun up.

"What the hell are you doing?" I say as I grab mine. He just continues walking and is now towards me. He aims his gun on me and I aim mine and shot him in the leg.

"I ask you what are you doing. I expect an answer." He stays silence and doesn't even act affected by the shot to the leg. Instead his response is to use his supernatural speed and hit me with his gun. I try shorting him again, but he rips it away and hits me again. I block the hit with my arm and send a kick to his stomach. He backs up a little and swing at me again and then grabs my arm to throw me to the other side of the roof. He hits me again and my head was already hurting and starting to spin because of his hit. Then before I can do anything a needle goes into my arm and I'm out like a light.
