I drown in my own tears
I drown in my own fears
Waiting for someone
Waiting for anyone
To save me from myself
But I'm too scared they'll be like you
So I hide the pain behind a smile
I hide the scars with laughter
I hide the sadness by devoting myself to other people's joy
And I wonder
Will there ever be a day when the scars fade away?
