He moved with caution,
His feelings trembling with exhaustion.
People were envious of their friendship,
He was envious of their relationship.
Always there to pick her up
After every break up.
How could she not see
That they were meant to be.
He didn't notice when he pulled away
The looks of longing she sent his way.
