His eyes opened a little bit, sand and ash flinging off of his eyelashes as he did. Nico's whole body was numb, and he coughed up rubble, his lungs filled with dust. His eyes went down to his hand which had a huge bruise all around it, and when he tried moving his hands pain shot up his fingers but that didn't stop him.

Nico started to sit up, every part of him sore and he struggled to turn to his side. Right beside him he saw a body of a young boy with hair that was now spread out all across their face, a large, bleeding cut down their left cheek. And they didn't seem to be breathing.

"Ty?" Nico said hopefully. He shook Ty's body, trying to wake them up. He pressed his head to his heart, relieved to hear it beating. But they still wouldn't wake up.

Nico grabbed Ty, lifting them up into their arms. They were remarkably light compared to Nico, most likely because of the height difference, so he didn't really struggle. He walked over the rubble, scared to look under the parts of the airplane for fear of finding a body, and got out of the rubble completely. He set Ty down on the sand, resting them comfortably for when they wake up.

He looked around. He didn't exactly know where they were, except for that it looked like a beach, maybe an island. There was a forest in the distance, and the sky was completely black, so he couldn't really see anything. He heard a gasp, and looked down, seeing Ty breathing more normally now.

Then it hit him.

He didn't know where his sister was.

Nico ran from where he was into the rubble, screaming her name. "Sparna!" It was a mix of a cry and a yell, filled with fear and panic. Wherever he looked, he just couldn't find her. "Sparna!"

His hands started to shake with the thought of what might have happened to Sparna, and that Ty might pass and he would be the only survivor of the crash only to die himself, but then he heard it.

A cough.

Nico didn't hesitate. He ran over to the sound, screaming the name over and over again. He passed aisle by aisle, skipping over a girl with brown hair, her heart paralysed, until he found the source. When he found it, he was both relieved and disappointed. There was Karimah Leya, trying to stand up, coughing up blood. Nico offered her support and she took it, coughing even more. He looked around her aisle. There was Talon, barely breathing right next to her, but she was the only other person.

"Are you alright?" He asked. She continued coughing a little, and he took off his jacket, letting her cough into it. She took it gladly, almost choking on her own blood. Nico was terrified, and finally, she stopped coughing. Then, she got a clear view of him.

"Nico?" She asked, her voice hoarse. He nodded.

"Where's Sparna?" She looked just as confused as he was, and he started to get anxious. "Where is she?"
