Headed by Fiddleford McGucket, the Department of Enlightened Thinking is a branch of the police department. Their existence is known by very few, one of those people being Stanford Northwest, their biggest (and probably only) financer. Their main goal is to make sure that the townspeople forget the existence of the supernatural and certain incidents involving the Northwest family. However, a few people have proven themselves to be immune to mindwiping, so the Department also works to encourage and/or force the individuals that they know of silent.
