Chapter 7

*Two weeks later*

The last two weeks weren't eventful, it was all about school assignments, projects and our cheerleaders practices, the football season is too soon . Everything was fine with everyone we weren't pulled into troubles or stuff and everything was constant. Jax and I were tensed around each other since the prank call day ,then it turned to ignoring and a little bit avoiding but eventually now we can have a short friendly conversation, it mostly ended with us calling each others names but it's not bad for me, I don't look like I care because I don't of course, but you know.. I mean sometimes he can be kind and caring, I felt this in him ,when he took me to his house after the party insedent, tried making me breakfast and giving me back the things I forgot there, he was nice then, but he always masked it with his caveman behaviors. Maybe he has a rough past that turned him this way? Like me maybe? I don't know but when it comes to Jax I feel a little bit curious, wanting to reveal the secrets he always keeps to him self making him mysterious and some how confusing as well.

"Alex broke his arm and they haven't found onther quarter back as good as him."Chloe stated, while we were having our lunch break.

"But the football season is about to start." Vanessa replied, she was as shocked as us. We can't lose and without Alex it will be a great chance for the Silvers to win they have been craving the first place for too long, the Silver's had always been our number 1 companies and we all hate their guts.

"Alex better heal fast, he can't do this to us."Emma said feeling sad.

"I know it's not his fault but we just can't lose and let the Silvers win." She completed and we nodded.

At the end of the day when we were heading to the cheerleaders practice we saw all the football team gathered and they were cheering loudly, Aren't they supposed to be in a mess, c
rying like babies? We didn't have time to stop and ask because we can't be late to our practice.

"Do you think they found another quarter back?" Vanessa asked

"Yeah basically" I said in a 'duh'

"Who do you think is he?" Chloe asked but not for someone particular.

"I have no idea"Emma replied, we kept thinking about who is the team saver and if he is good enough like Alex, lots of students try hard to be the quarter back instead of Alex but they never reach his level. The practice ended pretty well, hard as always but we were used to it's hardness we loved being a part of the cheerleaders team, as if we were born for it.
While we were going to have our refreshing shower before changing to our clothes we found some guys from the football team heading to the showers as well, They noticed us and surprisingly Jax was with them, wearing Alex's shirt, he is the new quarter back then.

"Hey" Mason started, we exchanged Heys, then I snapped.

"So you are the new temporary quarter back" looking deadly in Jaxs' stormy pericied eyes, he nodded lazily.

"Hope you are good enough, we can't lose you know?" I completed and he nodded again.

"I've been always the best quarter back in my old school so it's not new to me, you don't have to worry sweetie." he snapped back in a 'duh' with a smirk placed on his lips.

"Don't call me 'sweetie' you know my name I guess" I frowned at him, I heard chuckles beside me I glared at the three of them to stop ,so they did Jayden, Mason and Ivan were smirking as well and chuckling lightly but I ignored them , I turned back to Jax, the smirk haven't left his face.

"Oh yes you're rough and have nothing related to sweetness."he said teasing me. I glared at him, but before I snap back, he continued.

"But to be honest the cheerleaders outfit fits you perfectly." He said with a smirk plastered on his face like always, scanning my body, looking long than nesessary at my bare tanned stomach..oh yes he said before he liked my pericing . I huffed and turned quickly so my high ponytail hit his chest. The girls joined me no long ,chuckling lightly beside me, I went straight to the shower to have a relaxing hot shower, this guy gets on my nerves really fast. They were waiting for me out side I took more time than always relaxing and enjoying the hot water. They stopped talking once I approached, I guess I was related to their conversation, I let it go anyway, I was relaxed and didn't want anything bothering me.

"So Tessa, are you coming over to finish the English project?" Chloe asked breaking the silence.

"Okay I don't have a lot of studying anyway" I said dryly.

"I'll be waiting for you around 8 then"she said smiling a little.

"Fine" I smiled back ,there were few cars belonged for the other cheerleaders at the parking lot. We headed to our cars, and waved to each other, before opening my Mercedes driver door and disappearing out of the view on the streets it was nearly 4 and I was exhausted from the practice so I made myself something to eat and because I don't have much work to do I gave myself an hour of sleeping before I finish my homeworks and head to Chloe's place. We finished half of the work and suspended the rest to anther time when I was heading to the front door to go home it was already 11 pm, someone knocked on the door furiously ,hope nobody woke up upstairs. We both froze at our place. She opened the door slowly ,Ivan and Jax rushed inside and locked the door after them ,Chloe and I were still frozen at our places ,the boys were socking wet and breathing heavily.

"Soo.." Chloe started breaking the silence the guys were jumping at there places to warm them self we are at the beginning of November and it's getting cold. I went inside to bring them blankets while Chloe question them what the hell is going on. I came back shortly not wanting to miss the explanation, Ivan thanked me and Jax smirked at me but thanked me as well.

"So you are telling me you came here because when you were vandalizing Mr Crooker's house for the second time, his kids found you and threw water balloons at you before running to their father, so you ran to the nearest house to hide?" Chloe asked holding back the laugh. They nodded I chuckled at their childish behaviors so did Chloe she couldn't control her self any more the boys joined laughing at them selves. I laughed imagining there faces when they were thrown with the water balloons from young kids and running away from them. After laughing it was time for me to go, it was getting late.

"Its time for me to go now" I stated and they signed.

"Why don't you stay longer?" Chloe asked and the boys nodded. JAX was agreeing on me staying at the same place as him, longer than I already did.'unexpected!'

"Sorry guys but I need to sleep we have school tomorrow remember?"

"How about watching a movie together first?I don't feel like sleeping now" Chloe asked not for someone particular.

"How about suspending it to anther day?" Ivan suggested , Jax and I nodded agreeing.

"Saturday night?" Chloe asked.

"I'm down" I stated and they nodded as well.

"Okay we will bring Van and Emma and you can bring someone as well"Chloe stated and seemed excited, looking at the boys. We nodded agreeing.

"I'm going now then"I waved smiling at them.

"I think Mr Crooker's crazy kids aren't there anymore" Jax stated thoughtfully Chloe and I chuckled lightly and Ivan nodded heading to the door with me.

"Oh Tessa can you give us a ride? " Ivan said and I nodded agreeing, Ivan's place isn't far than mine, but I don't know Jax's. Jax looked at me waiting for my acceptance and I nodded at him anyway. We waved again to Chloe then headed to my car. Ivan sat at the passenger seat so Jax was at the back we talked a little until we reached Ivan's place and drop him off. Jax started giving me directions to his place untill I stopped in front of it his house and saw his black matte Dodge in the driveway, I couldn't remember his house well but it wasn't that far from mine.

"Thanks cupcake." He smirked as he stepped out of the car, I was going to snap back for the 'cupcake' name but it was no use. I rolled my eyes, huffed and started the car, he was standing still until I drove away.

So a movie night on Saturday with my friends and Jax..
