The Announcement

Grace could admit it. 

She had no more feelings for John, but damn, she sure loved to do "couple" things with him, like hold hands when they walk and kiss him. Sure, it wasn't practical, but hey, they were both single so nobody was getting hurt. She saw no harm in it

She smiled as John came into view 

"Hey love," she said, her accent was thick and flowed smoothly 

John smiled, dimples and all, leaning down to kiss her, Grace smiled into his kiss as his hands reached up to caress her face, god he loved kissing her 

"Sup John?" she asked, licking her lips as they parted

His lips were really full, Randy's were thin, but John's were just, luscious. But that didn't stop her from wanting Randy in every form

"Heard Randy has a big announcement tonight." John said, picking up a bottle of water and unscrewing the cap 

"Oh yeah?" Grace asked, throwing a grape into her mouth and chewing, and looking at John 

"Apparently," John replied, looking back at her, with a sigh 

"Hey guys," Randy greeted, coming up to their table, knocking John's hat and ruffling Grace's hair before taking a seat next to Grace

"So John tells me you have this big announcement, what's up Rands?" Grace asked, looking into Randy's eyes, trying to keep in her chills 

"Well, I wanted you two to be the first to know-" Randy paused, rubbing his hands together before he smiled 

"I'm getting a divorce!" he said grinning widely 

John and Grace both smiled, they both knew how long Randy had wanted a divorce. He was miserable being with Sam. He'd only stayed as long as he had because of Alanna. But now that she was older and could understand things, Randy could get out of the hell hole he found himself in for the past few years 

"That's awesome bud!" Grace cheered, hugging Randy tightly 

John watched with a smile as Randy and Grace embraced. He knew deep in his heart he still loved Grace, which is why he instigated this friends with kissing benefits deal, but even when he knew he still loved her, he'd never act on it, knowing how his best friends felt about one another. 

Randy might not have seen it yet, but he was in love with Grace and even if he hadn't seen it, everyone backstage, including John, saw how he looked at her when she wasn't looking, he loved her, he just didn't know it yet. John shipped it. 

He shook Randy's hand and made small talk, keeping his eyes on Grace as she watched Randy with a small smile on her face. Anyone could tell she was madly in love with him. And John would do all in his power to help them along. Even if he was in love with someone who'd never be his again.
