"Let's get married tomorrow," Randy said as they were both laying on the couch, Randy on his back and Grace on his chest, drawing the patterns over his tattoos
She looked up at him and then sat up
"Rands-" she began and Randy shook his head and sat up next to her
"I know you're having doubts about this but I can't stand the sight of other guys thinking they can have you." He told her
"We shouldn't rush this Randy, besides I only want you." He replied but Randy looked at her
"Grace, it's not only that, I've been thinking about marrying you since the first month we got together, we know we're compatible, we live well together, we get along great, what's the problem?" He asked and she sighed
"We don't need a piece of paper to prove we love each other," she told him
Randy smiled at her
"Grace, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want everyone to know that you belong to me and I belong to you, they'll know that when they see the ring," he explained and then went over and started looking around in the cabinet where they kept the batteries and the screwdrivers and pulled out a little blue velvet box and Grace bit her lip extremely hard
No. Oh god, please.
Randy looked at the box in his hands and then back to Grace and took her hand in his, going on one knee infront of her
"I know this isn't the ideal setting but that doesn't change anything. I rather ask you in the house where our hearts connected to make it a home than anywhere else. It's only you I want. I love you Grace and nothing would make me happier than if you'd marry me, I don't need anyone but you Grace, you mean the world to me and I want to spend the rest of our lives together, I promise that nothing will change except your last name, will you marry me Grace?" He asked, opening the ring box and she was silent for a good few minutes and Randy's face fell and he sighed sadly, looking at his ring
Grace blinked at him and smiled, taking his hand and kissing his knuckles
"So you get the biggest diamond?" She asked, taking the ring and slipping it on and smiling at the look of relief on his face
"I'm so happy," he revealed, getting up from the floor and kissing Grace, she kissed back and they parted
"I'm glad," she said and Randy wrapped an arm around her shoulders and smiled
"I love you," he said and she stared at the diamond ring on her finger
"I love you to," she replied and he grinned widely
Later on, she called John and listened to the phone ring for a few seconds before he picked up
"Hey Grace," he greeted and she bit her lip
"Guess who's engaged," she said with a sad smile and it was quiet over the other line
"Are you okay?" He asked and she nodded
"We agreed to wait till we crossed the one year to actually start to plan but, he's so happy John," Grace said with a sigh
"I got a meeting with Hunter now, can we talk tomorrow at RAW?" John asked
"Yeah, bye John," she said and after she got a return greeting, she hung up and stared at the ring on her finger
Damn, he must have went all out for it. It was sorta oval shaped and had a huge diamond smack dab in the centre, the ring was absolutely beautiful
She raked a hand through her hair and brought it back in her line of sight to stare at the ring. Randy was the love of her life, but she knew she wasn't ready for marriage, but she loved Randy and would do anything to make him happy, and obviously this whole marriage thing was making him happy.
She took some deep breaths as she nearly started hyperventilating because fuck, she was engaged. It's real now.
