"Stand Up!" [A Poem]

Have some deep stuff... see lately I've been hearin' about this shit about oh women are victims never men well news flash men can be too... I know I know a few 😔

Anyways here something deep...

She's down to the lowest she can get on the ground
She can't get any lower or else she might drown
You push harder, her face is pressed to the floor
I'm sick of all of this I'm not taking it anymore

She always screams at him for the stupidest reasons
Don't treat him like he's your own personal property
She changes even more than the weather in the seasons
He is not some damn good for fucking nothing

His usual bright eyes are turning pitch black
Got that look in his eyes it's gonna be a long night
He must be high again, hopped up on smack
If she says the wrong thing there goes her lights

Begging became futile when she's in the sky
Maybe if he plays opossum she'll leave him alone
But that doesn't work anymore he'll surely fry
And wind up with more than some broken bones

Tomorrow I'll write you some upbeat nature poetry while I'm away ❤
