Sitting on the brick ledge watchin' paserbys waitin' on the rain
The clouds seem to drift on by like the wild horses on the plains
I can smell it comin' fast see the trees they start dancin'
It'll be here soon the skies are beginning to  darken

Birds take refuge on the old radio tower in town
There are massive puddles and leaves left on the ground
Winds blow from every direction singin' songs for all to hear
Little droplets start to call before the shower begins to show

Sun shines brightly it's such a lovely contrast amongst the darkness
Leaves are full of life and radiating the rainbow as they fall
Acorns litter the streets waiting for the squirrels to feast
Here comes to glorious rain I've been waitin' so long for this
