Nick pulls out the stool for Ellie as she takes a seat on the tall and dark stool.
"I assume you two have already met?" Mrs Mayers says lifting her white eyebrow up.
"Yeah, we've bumped into each other a few times here and there." Nick speaks as he cuts his waffle into four pieces.
Ellie takes a bite out of the deceivingly large waffle.
Her mouth is filled with taste and the sweetness of the waffle.
"I see you like it? Do you?" Mrs Mayers smiles at Ellie.
Ellie quickly nods her head as she starts to dig in, impatiently.
Nick quietly chuckles as Mrs Mayers speaks again.
"So Nick? How's the college life going? Still studying and practicing for baseball?"
"Yeah. It's going pretty good. The teachers love me." Nick fake coughs.
Ellie turns her head around to Nick, surprised at his words.
