Teenagers arrested for planning of terrorist attack
Yesterday afternoon, the 18-year old Aabid and his girlfriend, 15-year-old Margot, were arrested by the police of Nice for planning a terrorist attack by the Islamic state (ISIS). In the morning, Margot's father had found a copy of the Coran and a gun in his daughter's room, which led him to immediately alert the police. During the police questioning, Margot admitted to have planned to shoot up the Rue Paradis, a known shopping street in Nice, together with her boyfriend Aabid. Afterwards, the girl was then going to flee to Syria to join ISIS. Her parents claim they had no idea their daughter had been radicalized. Unfortunately, this is the case for more and more parents in France. Especially young people from the ages of 14 to 22 years old are in danger of being radicalized.
