The skeleton knelt on the floor, his left leg propped to keep himself steady. His arms were raised high, shaky hands holding onto a small, fuzzy, black box. This tiny box was propped open, a beautiful golden ring resting inside. Light reflected off the miniature halo, Sans' nervous smile shining just as bright. He wore a formal suit; black slacks and blazer with a white shirt tucked underneath. And to tie it all together, a bow tie hung loosely around his neck. The skeleton's eye sockets looked past the small box in hand, up at the love of his life who stood in utter shock, his flames shifting between many colors.
Grillby's eyes began to leak tears, his smile stretching further across his face. Even as tears hit the floor, Sans knew he was happy, for these were tears of joy.
A few hours earlier...
