Chapter 21

Suddenly a swarm of changelings lands in front of them.

Chrysalis' servants hiss at the heroes.

"More changelings..." Amethyst says with a gulp.

They leap forward together, launching towards them like a wave, trying to overwhelm them in a sea of black.

Amethyst activates a magical shield to block them.

Hundreds of changelings topple onto her force field, which she cannot hold for long.

Never let the odds discourage you when there is a chance.

Amethyst channels as much magic as she can into her horn and the shield quickly expands out, throwing off the changelings.

They are quick to get back on their feet and charge.

Suddenly, they take the appearances of all of the heroes.

Eventually, it becomes a crowd of Amethyst's, Kitty's, and all of the Glitter Force at each other's throats.

Amethyst finds herself struggling with a Glitter Lucky, who has her pinned to the ground.

Her hands are as strong as chains around her legs, as she cannot move them an inch.

Never let the odds discourage you...

Amethyst throws her head up and jabs into the changeling's face with her blade for a unicorn horn.

When there is a chance...

Her attacker rolls off of her.

In the edge of her vision Amethyst sees a group of Glitter Breeze's punching each other.

"How did our chess game end last night?" she asks.

The fight suddenly stops, and for a few seconds no one answers.

The real Breeze smiles.

"I won but you got my queen." she answers.

Amethyst zaps Breeze's impersonators around her, causing them to collapse.

They proceed to a cluster of Glitter Spring's punching each other.

"What's your actual name?" Breeze asks.

"April!" one of them responds.

Amethyst takes the others down.

Breeze turns to a pair of Glitter Lucky's.

"After we played golf, what did we eat?" she questions.

"A Japanese pizza of course!" the Lucky on the right cheerily replies.

The other looks at Glitter Spring nervously.

Spring smirks and kicks the changeling into the air, launching it straight into the sky like a rocket.

"Peace! When you entered your first drawing contest, did you win?" Lucky calls out to a group of Glitter Peace's.

"Of course I did!" all but one of them say.

"Wrong!" Lucky reveals.

Amethyst mows them down with more lasers.

Meanwhile, Kitty finds herself swinging a metal bat around, clashing it into changelings' faces.

She even sees a few teeth pop out of their mouths.

She also notices Daffy is surrounded by copies of him.

"Alright! Who's the real Daffy?!" she shouts, as she points her gun.

"I am!" all of the Daffy's respond.

"Really? If you are, go over there!" Kitty instructs, pointing to a location.

The real Daffy realizes her plan and does not go with the others there.

He quickly pulls a lever and an anvil smashes the changelings like a shoe crushing a group of bugs.

As for Glitter Sunny, she is at the bottom of a pile of herself.

The frustration of being pinned down suddenly causes her muscles to toughen.

Sunny manages to throw her copiers off of her.

She screams as she swings her arms and legs around, taking down the enemies in her path as a hurricane does.

Eventually, all of them are defeated, and Sunny stands bent over, hands on her knees, panting, as trails of sweat roll down her face.

"Is that all of them?" she grunts.

Amethyst is about to respond but she is dragged from behind into a pile of changelings, who turn into her form.

They light up their horns, which can do the same amount of damage as Amethyst's if the heroes don't act fast.

Breeze does and says her question.

"After our chess game, what did I tell you?"

The real Amethyst fights her way to get out of the pile to answer.

However, the changelings around her are stones as she can't move them.

Then she decides to slice her horn around.

The surrounding changelings howl in pain and clear the way, allowing Amethyst to pop out.

"Never let the odds discourage you when there is a chance," she responds.

Breeze smiles and Kitty takes care of the rest, sending the remaining changelings away.
