Chat had dropped Marinette off at home about 2 months ago. She missed him, she missed his company. She barely new him, but he felt like the right person she needed at this point.
Marinette woke up to her phone going off, she quickly managed to get up and forced herself to clean up.
She trailed into the bathroom to take a shower and put on her clothes. As she started to brush her wet hair, she noticed a red string tied to her pinkie. Confused, she touched it.
Marinette suddenly felt the urge to follow the red string as she quickly finished getting ready and ran out of the door to see where the string was leading her. She pulled out her phone to quickly search up "red string" to take a look into it.
"The Red String of Fate, also referred to as the Red String of Marriage, and other variants, is an East Asian belief originating from Chinese legend."
Marinette took a deep breath as she continued to walk. Marinette stopped abruptly, feeling herself stop as she realized where she was. The forest.
"Why does my life have to go from perfectly normal to crazy in such a small amount of time." Marinette cried.
"Marinette?" She heard someone behind her and she turned to find Chat Noir, standing behind her. She quickly walked up to him and enfolded him in a hug.
"Are you okay?" He asked her. Marinette pulled away and smiled weakly at him.
"I'm tired." She sighed.
Chat smiled, and pulled Marinette into a deep hug.
"I missed you." She whispered.
"I missed you too, Princess." He said before grabbing her waist and escorting her back to the mansion.

"So Marinette, why were you in the forest in the first place?" Chat asked the girl as he sat down next to her on the couch.
"There was a string on my pinkie, I wanted to follow it..." Marinette shrugged.
"A string? That's odd, so did I!" Chat said.
Marinette gulped quietly.
"Yeah, I got a little urge to follow it so I did. It led me to that forest. It was weird." She said.
"Really? Hmm, now that makes me wonder what it means?" He thinks.
"Y-yeah." she smiles nervously. Chat turned to her.
"What are you hiding Princess?" he asks.
"N-nothing. Why would you need to ask me that?" she asked.
"Because you don't stutter on a normal basis, now do you?" Chat smirked.
"Fine! The red string is assigned to your other half like a sign that the person on the other side of the string is your soulmate." she told him.
"So you're telling me that you and I are soulmates?" he asks her.
"Basically." She nods.
"God is doing me so good!" Chat cheered.
"Why are you so happy?" She looked at him like he was crazy and he smiled at her.
"You and I are destined to be together and spending the rest of my life with you sounds like heaven, Princess!" Chat chuckled in joy.
"Okay? Anyways, I'm gonna head back now." Marinette starts to get up until she's sat down again by Chat's strong pull on her arm.
"What are you doing?" Marinette groaned. Chat smirked as he leaned in, close to Marinette. "Princess, why are you acting like you don't want to stay here with me. We both know there's something here." He said to her. His breath fanned over her face as she sat still. Chat looked at her carefully, then her lips. Marinette couldn't move even if she wanted to. She felt frozen.
"I-i'm going to bed." She spoke suddenly and pushed the cat off of her. She stood up, before making her way upstairs.
Chat sighed as he rubbed his temple.
"Idiot." He said to himself.
