Marinette sniffled before humming. Alya scoffed through the phone. Marinette had stayed in the bakery, letting all her worries consume her as she had gone at least a week without seeing Adrien and crying over his explosion at her.

"I'm sorry girl, that sucks." Alya sighed.

"I don't understand why he practically kicked me out." Marinette cried. Alya cleared her throat.

"Tell you what, when we get back to school on Tuesday, we'll invite all the girl out for a sleepover and just watch movies and eat together. Does that sound good?" Alya said, enthusiastically.

"Thank you, that sounds amazing. I'll see you soon okay? I should probably clean up around here." Marinette smiled slightly, her heart warming at the fact that her best friend was making an effort to make her happy.

"Alright, feel better. I love you, bye." Alya said before ending the call.

Marinette let out a sad sigh. She looked around her room.

Marinette rolled her eyes before she adjusted her pencil. She continued to draw in her sketch pad, distracting herself. She jumped when she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Are you okay?"

It was Nino.

Marinette looked at the boy before looking away and rolling her eyes in irritation.

"I'd rather be left alone, Nino. Asking me if i'm okay is a rather stupid question to ask right now." Marinette bluntly spoke. Nino sat down next to her.

"Look, I know this looks bad but believe me when I say
there's been a misunderstanding." Nino said. Marinette turned to Nino. She leaned in.

"I'd rather die before I believed a word you said to me."

Before Nino could respond, Mrs. Bustier walked into the classroom. She turned to the class, immediately getting their attention.

"We have a new student today, as i'm sure you've heard of." She spoke. She turned towards the door. Everyone leaned forwards, eager to see the boy.
