Jimin POV
It was finally happening. He was finally on his way, with what was a slightly oversized spacesuit left folded on his bed, he gave Kaiko one last cuddle. He couldn't take his beloved pet cat with him back to Earth, it would be too dangerous. Her life was forever destined among the stars.
Jimin had sent Jungkook one last message on the Box but the boy hadn't replied yet. Maybe he's just at school, he thought biting his lip. Jimin didn't have time to re-setup everything to try and contact Jungkook again. His father had promised that his first phone call back on Earth would be to Jungkook.
"Ready to go," his father said, leaning against the doorway. Jimin sighed, taking one last look at his bedroom. He quickly slipped into his suit and zipped it up before nodding.
He hadn't told his father but he wasn't planning on coming back. Not ever. He'd do whatever it took, take it to court, run away if he had to. But if his parents wanted to go back to the research centre after their talks with the scientists on Earth, they would be going without him.
Jimin nodded in response to his father and picked up his suit, following him as they left what had been Jimin's quarters of the ship. Jimin stayed silent as his father lead him down a series of corridors he'd never seen. They soon reached two grey doors when his father stopped.
"Jimin there's still time to pull out of this"he started, his voice strained with worry. He was still worried about his test results. Worried about the fact that Jimin had only just made it onto the list. Jimin shook his head; he was scared too but determined to see Jungkook.
"It doesn't matter. I've made up my mind" he said. His father bit his lip before drawing him into a hug. Jimin paused before hugging his father back tightly. "Don't be afraid to leave this place, Dad. We deserve to go back home" he muttered. His dad nodded and let go, both of them pushing the door to the deck.
Their return shuttle was in a vast cavern like space. All engineers were scuttling around it, doing final checks and tests. He could see Carlisle about to board and waved. His mother came running towards them and grinned. "Isn't it huge, Jimin honey? We came here on a spacecraft two times bigger!Remember Seongwon?!" she said excitedly before seeing Jimin's pale face.
"You'll be fine, come on" she said taking his hand. He took a shaky breath in and forced his feet onto the first ladder rung, pushing himself up. Carlisle helped him into the ship and then he was inside. It was strange, everything was on its side, their seats, the controls. It made his stomah turn. Pushing down the rising feeling of nausea, he took his seat in between both of his parents' and with nothing else to do, Jimin buckled himself in and leaned back unto his seat. He was exhausted from the weeks of rigorous testing and soon he was fast asleep.
--flashback--
Jimin lay on his bed, the panel in front of him, showing his cute bunny smile. A thought suddenly popped into his head, Jungkook was so adorable. He smiled at the thought before turning his attention to
"We could go to a theme park as well?"
"What's there to do at a theme park?"
"Roller coasters...but they might remind you too much of coming down to Earth so maybe not"
"Kookie, I won't be traumatised when I arrive. Just a bit tired for a couple of hours but it'll pass. Then I'm all yours"
"You're already mine, Jiminie"
"Wow, possessive much"
"You love it, don't you?"
"I'm not gonna give you the satisfaction of answering that. I can't wait to see you"
"I can't wait as well! What if you don't like me in real life, though?"
"That's stupid. Of course I won't like you in real life. I'll love you. I love you up here and I'll love you when I'm on Earth, with you. I will always love you,Jungkook"
He could see Jungkook wipe tears away from his cheeks and looked away for a moment, to stop his own tears from falling.
"I love you too Jimin. I miss you already and we haven't even met yet. Is that normal?"
"Its fine....I miss you too"
Jimin smiled at Jungkook's laugh. He couldn't wait to see Jungkook's smile in real life, to see Jungkook laugh along with him. He couldn't wait to finally kiss the boy he'd fallen in love with.
--flashback end--
The first thing Jimin did when he woke up was vomit. He managed to get the bag open in time before he threw the contents of his stomach back up his throat. It burned his throat and sent tiny black dots into his swaying and fuzzy vision. His mother briefly tore her eyes away from the controls to look at him.
"Okay, honey?" she said. Her voice sounded muffled in between the roaring sound behind his ears. His chest felt constricted as the ship swayed back and forth. "Is it supposed to move that much?" he muttered. She frowned and quickly clicked some buttons before turning to face him.
"Jimin, are you ok-Oh my god, you're bleeding"she said in alarm, touching his nose. He reached up and felt his nostril, drawing back his hand to see his finger stained with blood. The ship seemed to take a violent turn to the left. "I don't feel very good" he mumbled as his mother called for someone. here was a beeping sound coming from the monitors in his suit, filling his head and heart.
"I miss you already and we haven't even met yet. Is that normal?"
Jungkook's voice was haunting him, sneaking into his head, behind his eyes, suffocating him. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't breathe. "Jimin! Jimin, look at me we're nearly there baby. Hold on for me,Jimin. Hold on for mommy okay?" Someone was pleading, everything sounded muffled and drowned out. All he could hear clearly was Jungkook's voice.
The last thing he heard was shouting "Alpha to Juno 3, bring emergency medical aid to base...."
He did know whether it was Jungkook or someone else......
