Jungkook
The sound of someone vomiting wakes me up. The smell of alcohol and sex linger in the air and our clothes are strewn all over the place. I get out of bed, wincing slightly and grab some shorts.
"Jimin? Are you okay in there?" I ask, knocking on the door. No one answers.
"Jimin?" I call again, this time knocking louder. There's no answer but I can hear someone shuffling around. Jiggling the door handle I can see it's locked.I'm about to knock again when the door swings open. Jimin stands in front of me in boxers and one of my shirts. He looks pale with slightly bloodshot eyes.
"Too much to drink" he mutters, stumbling past me and flopping onto the bed.I nod and nudge his toe.
"We have to get going now" I say. Jimin shakes his head.
"We could just stay here with Jisung and the others." he mutters tiredly.
"We can't....that petrol station owner recognised you. It's all over the news" I say, sitting on the bed.Jimin gets up, sitting crossed legged on the bed.
"You really don't want to go back, don't you?" he says sadly. I bit my lip, memories of my parents harsh words resurface in my mind.
"You don't.....you don't know what it's like to have your own family hate the sight of you.....I do want to go back, god I would get on the first train back.....but I can't. They made that very clear" I say, on the verge of tears.I don't want to cry, not in front of Jimin. He rests his head on my lap.
"I'm just tired, that's all. We can get out of here, if that's what you want" Jimin mumbles, getting to his feet.Within an hour we've left the motel and Jisung's gang behind, in a car we traded with Jisung. The surveillance video from the petrol station showed what car we were travelling in.
"Maybe we should dye our hair" Jimin says as we head towards the coastal city. Looking at the map on Jimin's phone, I can see we are close to where the man in the photo used to live.
"I am not dying my hair" I say firmly. Jimin huffs and turns away as we enter a supermarket.
"Do you remember what-"I start before Jimin cuts me off.
"Yes. Keep this mask and hat on at all times and speak as little as possible. You're treating me like a baby" Jimin complains. As he puts the hoops of the mask around his ears his sleeve falls down. My eyes focus of the grayish bruises around his veins, which are a stark blue against his pale skin. It's only for a moment before he brings his hands down. I don't fail to notice him tug his sleeves down before we leave the car.
As we walk around, buying some snacks, I sneak glances Jimin. He looks fine, just a bit tired. But something warns me that it isn't the case. Blinking out of my daydream, I realise Jimin's no longer by my side. I look around frantically but the aisle is empty.
"Boo!" Someone says, jumping onto my back and kissing my neck. I shrug Jimin off and turn him to face me.
"Where did you go?! You shouldn't just leave like that" I say angrily.
"I got some hair dye" he says waving the bag happily. I roll my eyes and drag Jimin along with me to the checkout.I don't want to give Jimin the satisfaction of knowing his new ash blond hair really suits him so I stay quiet as Jimin sits in front of the full length mirror. He takes a picture of himself using the Polaroid camera.
"It looks good, huh?" He says, turning to me." I guess" I say nonchalantly. Jimin cocks his head to one side.
"Don't be mad at me. At least if anything happens I can proudly say I dyed my hair by myself" he mutters.
"Nothing's going to happen to you, Jimin" I insist. It sounds more like a lie than anything else.
