Friend - Are you struggling right now to believe that God really does care for you? Do you
think that so many things are going wrong in your life - that you believe that maybe God cares for
everyone else - but he is really isn't caring for you? Do you feel like your prayers aren't getting past the ceiling? Do you want to draw close to God - but you are just not sure really how?
I want to encourage you friend - to not give up believing that God really does want the best for you.
He loves you like no other. He sent his son Jesus to die on the cross - so you could live forever - because that is how special you are to him. I have been reading this great book lately - and I have personally found it to be positive, uplifting and inspiring. It really has helped me in my walk through this life - I came across this book - as I have attended a depression recovery program through our local
church. I don't suffer from depression - but I am attending the course to encourage others who do suffer from depression.
The name of this book that I think is totally amazing is : Telling Yourself The Truth by William Backus and Marie Chapian. We all go through highs and lows on our walk in this journey of life....but whether you feel it or not - I guarantee you that God is there. If you invite him into your life - he will lead you - and times will be tough - and the road can be rocky - but God by the power of his holy spirit will walk the journey with you. He wil be there for you to lean on. He will comfort you through your tears. He will give you strength to keep going - even when your heart is breaking - and he guarantees that if you accept him into your life - then you will have a mansion someday. It isn't a make believe, airy fairy mansion - but a real mansion on the streets of Gold in heaven - with your heavenly father - the one who loves you - and who sustains you - the one who is your rock and salvation.

Dear Lord
We come to you today with thankful hearts for the many blessings that you have bestowed upon us.
Some of us Lord are doing it so hard - and we at times feel so overwhelmed - we shed many tears -
we have broken hearts, we suffer from unemployment, low income or financial instability.
We feel lonely - we wish someone would come along and befriend us with warm friendly caring hearts.
Help us Lord to let go and relax into your loving arms - knowing that you are in control. Worrying won't
change the circumstances of one thing - but it will spoil the happiness of today.
Lord we all need hope, love, kindness, care and support both from you and from each other.
Help us Lord to fulfill your will - and be there for each other. Help us to be committed
caring, kind, loving christians - reaching out to others in the midst of our own pain/challenges.
You didn't say life would be easy Lord - but you did say to not worry - but instead to trust you.
We pray for a closer walk with you Lord. We pray to become stronger in your strength - during the challenges/stresses/pains of whatever each one of us is currently going through. I pray for each person/persons reading this prayer Lord - I pray for them to have peace, hope, joy and happiness in the knowledge that the one who is responsible, trustworth, reliable and caring will be walking with them in this journey of life. For the people who are reading this prayer that are currently experiencing
happy, positive, prosperous times - I pray for you to touch their hearts in a special way - to encourage and inspire them to reach out and help those less fortunate than themselves in whatever way they can.
We know Lord that money can't buy happiness, it can't buy health and it also
can't buy eternal life - but we need enough money for our day to day living expenses. Please supply our daily needs Lord in accordance with your will.
Lord help us to love other people to Jesus - help us to focus on your love, your power, your kindness,
the hope that you give us - and the knowledge to rest in you because you are in charge and you care for us like no other.
You said don't worry - but instead trust in you. Help us to walk by faith and not by sight. Help us to
really listen to those we meet on a daily basis - and show us how we should be helping those around us. Direct us in the right way - help us to become friends with whoever it is - that you want us to befriend. Help us never to judge people by their outward appearance. Sometimes the most bright,
bubbly, confident, happy person on the outside - can be the most stressed/challenged/pain filled person on the inside - and they are longing for someone to really befriend them - not in a superficial shallow way - but in the way
in which you would want us to be - that might mean - by just being there for them emotionally - by making a batch of soup for someone - it might be having a cuppa with someone who needs a friendly non-judgmental ear - it might be just making ourselves available for a walk, a telephone call etc.
You are the greatest kindest most loving, caring, forgiving God - help us to represent you well in our everyday activities. May people want to know you - because they have known us. May we focus in a positive way - on all the positive things that are going on in our lives - and for those of us - who are feeling down and out - please walk, encourage, uplift and inspire us with your great love and support.
There is no challenge we can't get through, no mountain we can't climb and no lonely times that we can't experience - in your love and strength.
Inspire and encourage us Lord to read the bible - for faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God. Draw ever so close to us as we spend time in prayer with you - our heavenly father - the one who loves us like no other.
We are so thankful Lord that we don't have to worry about our loved ones - for we know that your
love care and support will see them through whatever walk/challenges/stresses they have to face in life. We know that you love our loved ones - even more than we love them - for your love for them -
caused you to give your only begotten son so that they could live forever.
Help us Lord to be a witness to our loved ones/ friends/ families/neighbours etc - so that they
will see what an awesome, wonderful, caring, loving, forgiving God we serve.
We trust you Lord - and even though we are weak - we become strong in your strength - and even though we all at times have challenges/stresses/heartaches - we can be assured that you will help us carry our burdens - for you are the one worthy of our trust - we trust you with our lives Lord - for we know that you only want want is best for us - both here in this journey of life and also in the life hereafter. Amen,
