a letter to the sky:
the world tries to tell me
that you're not real.
they whisper that loyalty
is just another
L word that keeps
people warm at night.
they sedate me
with romantic comedies
and the idea that
its always supposed to hurt
the evidence from my past
is fairly damning.
but the purest part of me
the part that burns white
will always believe in you
and your ability to hold me
no matter how badly i struggle
against my own fear of forever.
