Rayne wss running through the forest at about twenty miles per hour, the drones within the area sending guidance information to her helmet feed. She had been chasing this Gandaran for thirty minutes now and she felt as though she wasn't gaining any ground until she managed to catch a glimpse of it before it retreated into a natural cave formation. Of all places to catch it, in its den. God damnit, well atleast I'll still get capture pay. She thought still pissed at her human contractors for voiding their agreement. Passing the thoughts aside she turned on her helmets night vision function. She saw that the cave was larger inside and delved deeper into the larger mountain formation of the area. After just thirty seconds of running she saw what she believed to be bloody remains of deer and smaller animals alike. They were gored and ripped to pieces revealing organs and broken bones. It wasn't the gore that got to her but more that she recognized human bones.

That god damn bastard is going to pay for letting these things loose. She thought, but getting lost in her mind had allowed for the Gandaran to sneak into a perfect spot for it to pounce and maul it's prey. That's when the Gandaran leapt from behind the rocks it was hiding behind and bit down on Rayne a right shoulder. Despite her having her guard down she was still able to act accordingly, she held her form thanks to the enhanced suit while raising her right arm and sling her arm in such a way to catch the Gandaran and throw it right against the wall of the cave. It hit and fell down in a heap but seemed to immediately get back up with something in its hand. It practically threw a rock half the size of her head at her like a baseball. She didn't have time to react and it connected with her helmet cracking the visor and causing her night vision to fail. She couldn't see and had no idea where the Gandaran last was. She pulled what out what acted like a flare but was half the size and emitted a bright light blue light. The whole inside of the cave was bathed with the blue light, she could see her prey and was pissed since it had broken her helmet. She merely waited for it to charge her and of course it did just that. As soon as it came close she pulled a large blade out of her hip sheath and jammed it into the stomach of the Gandaran, it had grabbed her head and she could feel it getting ready to snap it. She immediately ripped the blade upwards and through the ribs forcing the beast to let go and roar in agonizing pain. It fell onto it's back with the blade sticking out of the front of its right shoulder with a two and a half foot gash trailing it down the body. She had just noticed it's fur was pure white, she just realized how she had killed this one which meant she was only to get half of the payment. She looked at a where the blood had stained it's snowy fur. She had attached a small silver device with 3 buttons and a small screen to it's thigh. She pressed 2 of the buttons and the body was engulfed in a golden sphere and immediately collapsed on itself leaving sparks of golden lightning behind. She then engaged her ships recovery device only for it to fail. Duh, I'm in a cave she thought and headed for the exit, when she was leaving the cave she took her helmet off and looked at it. The left side of her helmet was cracked and heavily dented with shattered glass instead of a visor.

She was then engulfed in the golden glow and time seemed to stop as she felt herself slip into oblivion and then in the same instant she was back in the familiar matter pod she saw every time she entered her ship. She ungeared from the suit. It had split and separating along the spine and down her legs and arms allowing her to simply step out of her suit. Just as she did so she heard Vanessa speak. Vanessa: Congratulations on your successful hunt Rayne. "Wasn't as successful as it could've been." She mumbled. Vanessa: Maybe, but you need to rest and eat, I suggest you go into the kitchen, Anthony has prepared the meat from the animal known as the 'deer' in an interesting way. "Really?" She said and intruiged. She was used to making her own food and didn't expect Anthony to even bother with doing anything for her. When she arrived in the kitchen she saw Anthony had just sat down with a plate of food. He noticed her immediately and said "hey! Look I know I keep saying thank you for saving me but I wanted to do something nice for you." He then pulled out a venison steak roped with sauteed onions and some chopped chives on top. She couldn't get over how delicious it looked and how great it smelled. As he set it down on the table in the running room that was more just and extension of the kitchen with an ordinary square metal dinning table with cushioned chairs. Rayne sat down at a seat across from Anthony and took the knife and fork he set out and cut a piece off and took a bite. She couldn't believe how good it tasted and how juicy it was. She had tried cooking before but it never turned out anything like this. "Do you like it?" Anthony asked. "Its amazing, how did you do this?" She asked between bites. "Oh, I like to cook. It's been a hobby of mine for a few years." He said smillimg at the compliment.

They both continued to eat and didn't speak much, not only because neither of them could seem to keep the conversation going but also because Rayne seemed to be enjoying her steak alot. Anthony noticed that she was smiling. He couldn't help but feel happy about that. Rayne was in a mix of emotion at the time. She felt as though she caused his life to take a dramatic turn that more than likely wouldn't end up good. She knew that leaving him like he was would mean he would be disabled or dead, but she still didn't like him not being able to go home. Not that she had wanted him to leave but she felt bad he couldn't see or talk to his family. That's when. She remembered he had a phone on him but it was blocked out by the drones to dissorient anyone wandering to close. She could disable the signal to his phone and he could talk to his family and let them know he's fine. She couldn't help but to find herself caring and worrying for the boy. He was in dangerous territory but he wasn't exactly able to leave. She had to stay and be ready at all times to capture all of the wild Gandarans. Which meant for him to hike back would inevitably mean he'd be attacked by one. And she couldn't move the ship. As the drones would have to retreat I to their bays for takeoff and they were needed to track any Gandarans. She never paid any attention to males before and even blew off several guys who had attempted to win her over but she simply wasn't interested. But Anthony seemed to be a different story. Anthony himself couldn't help but feel attracted to Rayne. He hadn't even known her that long but he could tell she was nice and meant well to him. She thanked him for the delicious stake and even joked about how she burnt the meat her first time trying to cook. She got up to take her dishes to the sink for washing. Anthony was for the first time noticing how curved her body was and how volumptions her backside and breasts seemed to be.  He couldn't help but to stare for a short while, admiring how the black suit seemed to fit perfectly over her as if it were just paint on her body. Rayne could tell he was looking at her but didn't say anything. She felt that she actually kind of enjoyed it and even swayed her hips slightyl as she walked away.

After Anthony was out of his trance and finished with the dishes Rayne had showed him to a room he could live in, in the meantime. He layed on the large kingsized mattress and felt how soft the red blanket was, noticing how it had the same color scheme as the carpet. She pointed over to a door on the right and left explaining toiletries and closet for him. That's when he asked about his clothes as he only had one pair, the ones he was wearing. "Oh yeah, sorry about that. I have plenty of these shirts and pants that can morph to your form aswell as some normal clothing I've been given by the government as a gift. They gave me clothes for both male and female, it's not like I wear them so you can have them. There all in the closet." She answered "Thank you so much, i never expected someone like you to care about anyone like me." Anthony said. "What do you mean?" She questioned. "Well, someone like you helping me, I'm not exactly a looker like you" he joked but had seriousness behind it. Rayne blushed but it wasn't able to be seen by the fur but she still didn't take any chances and turned to face the screen in the center of the wall adjacent to the bed. "Thank you for the compliment but do you really mean that?" She said shyly. "Of course, your not bad looking, I think your actually kinda pretty." He said looking into the ceiling expecting to get punched in the gut. To his surprise it didn't happen. "Well... to be honest your not half bad yourself. You should get some sleep though, the more rest the better for your body right now." She said. Anthony couldn't help but to blush. "Thanks Rayne."He said. "Any time, good night Anthony"she said. "Good night" and with that he fell asleep quicker than he expected too.
