Kiss on Christmas Eve (Itachi x Male!Reader)

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I hummed a bit as I watched tv. It's December 24th and I missed the bus to go for Christmas so I came back here in the dormitory to just spend it with my flatmates who also missed the bus or who don't have family to spend the Christmas with because either they don't have family anymore or aren't good terms with their families.

"Hey (Y/N), aren't you joining our Christmas Eve party? There will be booze and some hot girls from the other dorm." Kiba grinned at me and I shrugged.

"I'm not sure if I could go since you guys already know me. I don't party quite a lot." I said and he only nodded, exiting mine and Itachi's dorm room.

"It's a miracle Kiba didn't convinced you to join." Itachi said while sipping some hot chocolate and sat down beside me on the couch with another book.

"Hmm.. Yeah. But maybe he wants to have all those girls to himself since you know, I'm a chic magnet." I said with a cheesy grin that made Itachi hit me with his book but it's okay. At least he gave a soft chuckle.

I kind of set a goal for myself this year. I'll swallow all of my shame just to make Itachi smile or laugh, if I'm lucky enough. I love Itachi.. Yeah, love. Not like since I've been adoring this amazing man ever since we were in highschool but never had the courage to confess since we're close friends and I don't want to break that friendship. But now, I have decided that I'll confess. Just a Christmas gift to myself.

"Hey (Y/N)? Are you alright? You've been staring at nothing for five minutes now." Itachi nudged me and snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Oh yeah I'm alright. Just thinking about something and did you really record the time when I was staring at nothing?" I asked as a joke before turning to him. I looked at the clock at our wall and smiled. Still an hour before my plan.

"You know, I don't know how I became friends with you." he said though he's got that playful little smile on his lips that only I can see.

"You know you love me~" I teased though also hoping that he would say yes. Admit that he loves me the same way as I love him.

"Oh yeah? I'd sell you to Satan for a stick of dango." he says with that evil smirk of his and I pouted at him.

"Savage.." I muttered before playfully turning my back on him. Our banters are always like this. Random yet it makes me fall deeper and deeper for Itachi.

"Oh don't sulk now. I'll bake cookies for you tomorrow." he said and I gasped.

"Uchiha don't you dare destroy the oven again!" I said and looked at him before bursting out laughing, remembering our last session. It didn't turned out well since we destroyed the oven and got yelled at for doing so.

"Don't remind me and hey! You also helped destroying it." he said and I laughed even more. Out the two of us, he seems more guilty.

"Alright. I'll shut up about it." I chuckled and just watched a movie until midnight while he reads the book.

When it was four minutes before midnight, I turned to him and blushed a bit.

"Hey Itachi, can I ask something from you this Christmas?" I asked, just praying that he won't say no.

"What is it? You better not put the fake cockroach on my book again." he said, glaring a bit. I chuckle remembering my prank on him.

"I swear I wouldn't. Can you please close your eyes?" I asked and he looked at me before sighing deeply and closed his eyes.

"You better not play pranks on me, (Y/L/N)." he says and I couldn't help but smile. His words says he doesn't trust me yet here he is, eyes closed.

I waited for a few moments until I could hear our flatmates counting down for midnight.

"Three!.. Two!.. One!.." when the count off reached to one, I kissed Itachi on the lips. I gave him a soft and sweet kiss before pulling away, blushing and looking down, just bracing myself to receive a punch or a whack on the head with a book.

"Itachi.. I love you and I'm sorry.. I wasn't brave enough to tell you." I said and he lifted my head up before showing me that genuine smile and giving me a kiss on the lips. I could feel my heart swell with joy as we kissed for the second time.

He pulled away after the need for air before too much. We were panting and catching our breaths but couldn't help but smile, the taste of each other's lips still lingering. He looked at me, those fierce onyx eyes telling me that he wanted more.

"You know you could've confessed sooner." he says and grabbed his book again but that little smile didn't disappeared from his lips. I just chuckled and shook my head a bit.

"Whatever you say, Itachi. Merry Christmas and I love you." I smiled at him.

"Yeah whatever, (Y/N). Merry Christmas and I love you too, boyfriend." he says and I gasped before enclosing him on a warm embrace. This is the best Christmas gift ever!
