"My knight in shining armour," Taliya grinned as her older brother showed her his new sword their father had just given him,

"I'll always be your knight in shining armour, sword or not," he smiled in response,

"always," Taliya repeated softly,

"I will never let anything ever hurt you," the irony unbeknown to either of them,

"you promise?"

"of course," he said admiring the young girl who stood before him. Her beauty was captivating and Jaime struggled to decide which of his two sisters was the most pleasing to the eye. They both had the same golden hair, dripping with sunlight. The same fierce, but elegant eyes that were as green as the most admirable emerald in the seven kingdoms.

"You always promise things you can never keep," she grinned breaking his trance,

"I will do my utmost to keep you safe Taliya," Jaime replied glancing once more at his younger sister,

"well how are you going to do that if you've never wielded your sword," she smirked watching as Jaime's dark green eyes lit up,

"what would you have me strike upon?" he grinned lifting the sword his father had given him for his ten and fourth namesday,

"a tree perhaps," Taliya suggested not being entirely pleased with the violence the object could cause,

"and ruin it already?" Jaime said running his fingers gently along the blade,

"maybe a sack of something," Taliya shrugged,

"I shall save it, see what father says," the golden child smiled placing the sword back upon the large wooden table, "but now, may I escort the lady to supper?" he asked holding out his arm to his younger sister,

"if Cersei doesn't get jealous," Taliya giggled as she swept the dusty blue dress behind her and took her brother's arm,

"she'd only complain the whole time, you're much better company," he grinned and with that he whisked the younger Lannister along the corridors of Casterly Rock to the main hall.

Once they reached the doorway, two of the Lannister guards pushed opened the huge wooden doors to allow the siblings into the grand hall.

The large table was set with some of the Lannister's nicest, not finest, dinnerware. At the head of the table was of course Lord Tywin Lannister. To the once side of him was Ser Keven, his brother, along with his wife and children. To the other side was Cersei sat next to two empty spaces and then Tyrion next to that. The remaining seats were filled with Lord Tywin's bannermen and other important people that neither of the siblings quite knew what they actually did.
